I was trying to reply jeni saying first of all, thanks for answering the ignorant r-word comment below, and then to say that while yes, they do have tons of skill, they are indeed SO athletes at training camp last July. The really good team here won the gold in Shanghai at the World Summer Games last October.

Special Olympics is for people with intellectual disabilities. Of which there are many varieties and degrees of severity. You may be confusing them with Paralympics which is for people with physical disabilities. They are separate organizations.

Haha. You are funny. They are in fact a team from Hamilton, Florida. As a team they represented Team USA in the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games. This video was taken during Team USA Training Camp as stated in the video description above. Thanks for watching.

Um, yes it is. It was mid-July in Nashville, Tennessee at Team USA Training Camp as they prepared for the Special Olympics World Games. The team in white and blue was Team Tennessee. The team in black jerseys is from Florida and went to Shanghai where they represented the USA proudly. They won gold. They are good. Everyone on that court has an intellectual disability and they are good basketball players.

Pretty impressive. I coach Special Olympics here in Texas. The Plainview Regulators. I am only 19 and along with my 22 year old brother, am in charge of our basketball team. While we never lose, which can be credited to our average height of almost 6 feet or so, this team here is impressive. The athletes i coach are probably no more 'disabled' then these guys, just not as athletic. Having seen thousands of SO games, I can promise you all that this is a special olympic team.
