I think this one will always be a classic, Cecil. Late to comment, but better than never. And for my part, I love the smaller frame, framed in black, and the haiku is lovely. Hyp
Thanks for the comment. That's probably a good idea to re-render EF to HD. I think I made that film just before Youtube made available that function but will revisit it again.
I enjoyed watching your Water Sprite machinima. Very good visual storytelling and good colors and water reflections. Keep up the good work. -cecil
It isn't software that determines the smoothness of the motion. It's a combination of a good graphics card, powerful PC and some kind of game joystick that enables you to do pans, tilts, dolly and track shots.
Thank you, Susi! You know if I hadn't watch your early machinimas a year ago, I probably wouldn't have thought to shoot movies in SL. Thanks for showing the way!
I was so impressed with this one I just had to tell you well done. Personally it is the most seamless, artistically true machinima I have yet seen in SL. I love the restraint of movement in the shots, it shows an understanding of SL's weakness, and the framing of your shots, each one a work of art. I have played it over and over because I find the music in the credits so entrancing too. Really, this is such a good job, it makes me want to make machinima again. The Haiku storyline, awesome.
Thank you for your thoughtful words. I'm glad you're perception is so spot-on! This piece was very much about "restraint", and although SL offers the chance to zoom around with the cam, I had to force myself to just visually compose and keep movement to a minimum. The coolest thing to hear is that it inspires you to make another of your own. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!!! lol!

3D SpaceNavigator?

Nope. Just a plain old Logitech Dual Action gamepad retails $10 bucks. Plus a zen-like hand.

Hope that helps.

You might try turning off some of the background programs as well to improve processor speed.
