@ebonijayde he was, actually, but he was a totally different (and much smaller) character- it was the second book, I think 'Living Dead in Dallas' where Lafayette was killed and Sookie found out about the orgy club Lafayette had being going to and got Eric to be her escort to the orgy so she could pick people's brains? Eggs was Tara's boyfriend and she was reluctantly attending orgies with him to keep him. I believe he was killed or driven insane after the maenad appeared at the orgy.
