Frank fucked with his SG's quite a bit, taking guts out and putting new ones in, but they're still a good sounding guitar straight from the factory floor.
Frank may have sounded a little strange to some, but what I always liked was his thumbing his nose at society. He was "Politically Incorrect" long before the phrase came out.
Hej!
@BODYSLAMwrestling It WAS shown on Swedish national TV (only two channels back then..). FZ had some difficulties in believing that it was free entrance and started a discussion to get percentage on the ticket sales! At this time The Mothers were in the Swedish charts with the Over-nite Sensation album if I remember correctly.
SG's what a sound in the hands of a master

Maybe I'm not the first person who notices this, but...Is the riff starting at 6.56 some kind of homage to Hendrix's "Who Knows"?

Pretty much says it all for the SG. No reason to look for another guitar, Saw FZ in Chicago in '78? Uptown theater. Late show. wow.

@jimijames1970 fz was playing tampa........stopped at a bar (robocantes) after the show............mc asked him
to jam with the band. he walked up, was handed a guitar and told the band to 'do something in
d minor'. proceeded to jam for 15 minutes. it was amazing. after i walked up to his table and asked
him a few musical questions. very polite and cool. one of my great musical memories.
