durring my 5th grade period in late 1971,"THE ELECTRIC COMPANY" was a

fantastic expirience,,and of course,a bit diffrent from "SESAME STREET"-but

ultimately a superior example of children's TV in the 1970s-even when ABC-TV

was airing its "CURIOSITY SHOP" series that Fall,this show had it all,,a great

cast,great singing numbers,and its Educational content-you won't see this sort

of quality in kid's programs today-even with remake/reboots,,which are pretty

pathetic! the originals RULE!

To me these were always the highlights of the EC. It just made it feel all the more exciting when came to learning and just watching out of enjoyment. I never released how great these little song numbers were.

@MAinsworth0375 I always enjoyed whatever character Denise Nickerson played in "Dark Shadows". She always put 110% of herself into each role. There was nothing robotic about her acting.

Yeah she was comical in the Willy Wonka film, but whenever I hear the name Denise Nickerson, I instinctively think of "Dark Shadows"...."My name is Victoria Winters..."

@thomasloybumgarner Ah yes, I'm aware what role Alexandra Moltke played, but whenever I hear anyone mention the TV series "Dark Shadows" I immediately remember how hundreds of the Gothic soap's earlier episodes (from 1966-1967) began with the softly spoken sentence, "My name is Victoria Winters..."

I still enjoy little Denise Nickerson's memorable contributions. EX: as her character Amy Jennings (circa Jan. 1969) "David...what are we going to DOOO??!!!!"

I grew up in Chicagoland, although I don't live there any longer. Is the con still held at that Hyatt on River Road?

@NantoVision1 Yes, she was nice to my family and me as we chatted with her and got autographed promos and took pictures. Comic Con actually was held at the Stephens Convention Center, which is a block or two away from the Hyatt and the Rosemont Theater.

A friend of mine used to work in one of those office buildings on that block, so whenever I wanted to see a concert at Rosemont Theater or attend a convention at Stephens, I would borrow his parking pass and park for free in the office parking lot, saving lots of money and walking!

I remember this song from when I was three years old. I watched the Electric Company, then. From the looks of things, young children today could greatly benefit from this video. If you haven't noticed, it's an exercise vdeo. Children here in the U.S. are enormous.
