I absolutely love this video! I have said many times on this website that I intend to get to this destination one day in my lifetime! You would never see this in our country. I mean allowing beachgoers to be this close to approaching jetliners on a beach or anywhere for that matter. The only thing that worries just a little if there were a catastrophic disaster like a crash on the beach and many are killed, they would no longer allow it there either. So, I will keep my fingers crossed!

And the landing gear is not lowering at 300 feet.. at that altitude with flaps full a loud horn would be making your cockpit the new studio 54... if you don´t have any clue abouit aviation, please, don´t say anything, it´s that simple. it is real, so many movies have used the landing strip to make a "dangerous" landing. the images of the 747 are fake though, they land elsewhere and transfer passangers to a smaller craft.

I just rode the fence at SXM on Saturday, December 24, 2011. You get less debris blasted into your face up on the fence than you do back behind, across the road on Sunset Beach. The sand blast is vicious! People who try to take pictures get their camera lenses scratched. But you also get full thrust from the jumbo jet's engines up at the fence - enough to blow you backward across the street if you don't have a steel grip on the top bar of the fence.

This is real. I have been there twice. It is the island of St Maarten. The airport code is SXM.

Princess Julianne International airport. The whole island is around 45 square miles. The island is beautiful. Go if you can.
