i LOVE THIS!!! I am a cashier at Wally World, and so I definately vouch for the validity of this! But I tell you, I would rather be on a belt or even dealing with cart fulls in the 20 or less than when dealing with self check. I keep wanted to ask what the word SELF means to some of these people. Sooooo many things irritate me on those things.

Lmao! I am sad to say that I am a cashier as well at walmart. I get these customers all the time! On some checklanes, though, the debit/credit reader doesn't work. When the customer chooses credit, the stupid reg. prompts" invalid bank card".The customers think we mess with the card reader somehow. (At this point, I stand far away from the keyboard so they can see I have nothing to do with the stupid machine!) Btw, where I work, we can't stand around our registers; we have 2 b doing something!

Is working a cash register hard? I just got a job today to be a merchandise sales clerk at the wild animal park and im so worried im going to mess it up. Is it pretty easy to work a cash register or no?
if you're a patient person yes its VERY EASY! a bit too easy.....just be friendly and don't let rude customers get to you.....lol this is the first someone asking ME for advise :P
