Actually, (although this is probably pretty late to say this) I find that people would say 'browner' instead of a 'brown-noser' more commonly. Maybe that's just what teenagers would say... 'cause at my high school its an awful lot more common to hear 'browner' than the later.
All your Vids were so cool dude! I'm a native american here in the four corners and I could really use some good English lessons and I've got some notes on some Japaneese words/phrases too. I'm glad your doing something that I've considered doing at one point in my life but "I'm over the hill", that was my fav lesson. "doushite niko niko shiteiru no?" - did I get that right?
I always give your vids 5 stars. I sincerely think your videos are brilliant, although silly, but that's what makes them so fun to watch. Thank you Victor for all the fun videos to watch!
Never heard of apple polisher before, that's a much more polite way of putting it. lol I used to get called a "goodie good" all the time when I sucked up to my teacher in grade school. lol
Yeah, that's interesting. I read such a word in YouTube comments sometimes. I think you are good teacher for common English conversation, in which these sentences are necessary.

Never heard "browner". Interesting! Where you from? USA? UK? NZ? Australia?

Hi Victor!!
Goma wo suru was a bit hard to translate to english, i thought as well.
But your lesson could help me, thanks!!
Im gonna use a brown noser or an ass-kisser.
By the way why an ass-kisser can have that meaning? Strange, isnt it?
Can't i say that you're a nipple-kisser or something??
There would be a specific history in that...
I'd glad that Victor teaches us something behind each phrase. Of couse enough useful to study english still.

good lesson!!Thanks.
"You suck up" and "You suck" are different meaning, right?
mickhom0220 3 years ago
Yes, different.
You are a suck.< You suck up. = You are an insincere ass kisser.
You suck.= SAITEI!
Gimmeabreakman 3 years ago
Now, I know that this comment is a month late, but this one seems worded in a way that looks like it might invite misunderstandings.
Never say "You are a suck". That sounds broken.
a suck-up = a guy who does ass-kissing (noun!)
to suck = to be bad at something (can be insulting)
a sucker = a guy who sucks (see 'to suck' OR a guy who is easily fooled/gullible)
Do not confuse a 'suck-up' with a 'sucker'.

今度、外人さん達がyoutubeでよく使う言葉を教えてくれませんか?辞書で調べてもわからないのでくやしいです。
いろんな人のvideoを見てるけどコウイチ弁さんとビクターさんが一番おもしろくてわかりやすいです。
ありがとうございました。bye~♪ヽ(⌒(工)⌒)ノ

That's a very interesting lesson. If I taught my students some of these phrases in class I'll probably be fired. LOL
