Yeah it's all downstrokes. Bit on the tiring side to begin with tho, but think it makes the it sound a lot better so definitely worth it!

Absolutely, and you have to be faster too. So if you pick up upstrokes, you'll be very fast.

I think, except in Solos, intensive play > smooth play
