In the original comic he was still in high school and Betty Brant was his girlfriend. He made money by taking pictures for J Jonah Jameson. I suppose the current Spiderman is a teacher. Yet I am talking about the story from its inception. Read the 1st tale in Amazing Fantasy (reprints are readily available.) Good luck.

In the 1980's Spiderman cartoon the one that came before Spiderman friends, there was a epsiode where Clark Kent was useing a phone booth talking to someone when Peter Parker show up to use and Peter mention, I seen that guy somewhere before. It was a hint or joke to the viewers that SpiderMan knows Clark Kent. But there was a DC comic made back in the late 90's where Peter Parker show up in Superman home city for a new story and he was taking pictures. Atleast that is true.

No, they're correct. Comic-wise, the DC universe has been kept separate. In the newer shows and such they have crossovers, sure, but originally there were none. And many of their stories differ supremely from the cartoons/games/etc that appear now, both marvel and DC included. Hell, in the comics, Spiderman ditches Mary Jane and is dating Kitty Pride/Shadowcat from the X-men (she could defend herself if attacked) and has revealed his identity to all of New York.
