i like that you didn't play the land before cultivate at the end. you were worried about casting wargate when it could get countered and having 3 mana open would prevent him from even considering a mana leak (unless he has something amazing to play the following turn that you wouldn't be able to counter because you were tapped out). having 2 instead of 3 lands open makes people want to mana leak, leaving more important spells more protected
