  • yo question can u use the pull up bar in apartments too? i bought it and its hard for me to find a better door ..to hold it up on..

  • He reminds me of the guy from the 40 year old Virgin

  • Thank you so much for this vid! I just bought a pull up bar and am grossly out of shape. I'm gonna have my hollywood looks back in no time! You're the man!

  • your sure your doorframe could handle this?

  • hi,.. I wonder if whether it's possible to do very fast and powerful pull ups,..with jumping for example.. something like bartendaz. do.. is it possible that the bar clamps out and one falls to the ground?

  • how many pullups can you do

  • Though this video is a bit too basic for me it's still incredibly informative. For those who are new to fitness I would strongly recommend subscribing to this channel. Good show ReadyYourAbs.

    :)

  • Hi footballtazzer..sorry for the delayed response...you know the best core/ab workout equipment for me is the swiss or stability ball...there are such a huge range of exercises that can be done with the swiss ball...and the exercises are extremely effective...and best of all a swiss ball is extremely inexpensive. Remember it doesn't have to look cool or cost allot to be extremely effective

  • @footballtazzer

i would say go hard two days in a row, than take one if needed to days rest

make sure to drink water, milk or anything protein

and make sure to eat healthy during resting periods to get the full

    benefits!

  • Thanks for these extremely useful tips! I bought myself a pull-up bar 2 months ago, and then I managed to only do 2-3 PERFECT pull-ups. Now, 2 months later, I can do 8 perfect ones. I love it! I'm going for more...! Thanks again.

  • That's wonderful NicTiger...keep it up!

  • nah your rite, I usually do push ups and rugby and sports and stuff, but I can only do 3 pull ups, so thanks for your tips

  • Yep...pullups can be different for different people..what I notice is smaller more petite guys who are athletic tend to be able to do more...mass has a lot to do with it of course..I'm about 190lbs a pretty strong guy and I can do 10-15 about the first set ...and fall off as I go and I've seen very fit muscular guys only do 4 - 6.

  • problem with pullups is my stamina.....i can do just about 5 or 6 but my stamina drops like crazy and when i try again a few minutes later my strength it's just not the same and my form is lousy...any advice? tips?.....i'm 18 and i'm not fat at all....i just started doing pullups...before that i did alot of push ups and weight lifting

  • thanks for the tips

  • No Problem!

  • don't drink beer if you want a flat stomach. Drink wine or hard liquour in moderation.

this thing doesn't allow you to do wide grip pullups, does this matter for muscle growth?

  • Absolutely radcer..I agree..If your going to drink..hard liquour or wine in moderation is def better that a six pack of beer. In the grand scheme of things its not needed, but its very affective..overhead dumbbell press or resistance band overhead press mix with 45 degree lat pull downs are just as affective. Not a necessity, but worth the investment..as far as wide grips, depends on how wide you want to go, but in most cases its only going to be as wide as the average door frame.

  • "the average man can only do about 3 pull up's." What? I can knock out 15 in the morning.

  • Lol...captainretep...that's great...I would say you are way above average at 15 reps...If you grab 10 random men though..I guarantee you..8 of them would only be able to do 3-4 pull ups correctly.

  • Well, I'm in the Marine Corps so that probably helps, but when we did P.T. before anyone left for basic. Only about 4 people out of the 30+ people could only do 2-3 pull ups. I guess I'm just a little skeptical about that fact lol.

  • Yeah...I could be wrong...guess I'm use to hanging around guys who drink beer and don't exercise...lol...bunch of married men.

  • I use it as motivation lol.

  • @captainretep

then you're not an average man

  • tnx for the vid men XD

  • Thank u my friend " Ala akbar my brother"

  • yeah i hear ya there man i can only do about one and a half LMAO nice last tip dude thanx

  • hey man i dont think you got that for $20 bucks if you did what kinda store kinda go buy one at

  • Academy and Sports Authority have them for about that price. I have one.

  • Thanks jreily88...good info

  • Hi thanks very good video but can you send me a routine like what do you do in a week for example, bye

  • man i have this thing its god damn awsome! you can do push ups,sit ups aswell as so many different types of pull ups!

anyone who has this will know its worth it!

  • LATS! LATS!

    How could you forget LATS!

Any pulling exercise involves LATS and yes, biceps.

    Chest???

    Not really.

    Sheesh!

  • Absolutely Mr. Cabossehead, your exactly right...Chin ups are not only good for building biceps, but in just one pull up, your working a multitude of different muscles in your body located in your.-Forearms-BIceps -Triceps -Shoulders -Back -Core.

Didn't mean to upset you, the video was geared working the biceps.

  • william agnew, you have produced a very entertaining and informative instructional video. LOVE your presentation style!

  • Thank you :)

  • i live in thailand and i can not go to the gym and around here there is nothing like that where i can buy this things

  • Great video. Very informative 5/5

  • ah.. you forgot LATS???

  • I GOT THAT SOMETHIN LIKE THAT LOL

its good if u work out your arms first

than u do that it should be easy

    what does it work out?=[

back? shoulders? chest? and i think abs 2? =] lol cuz i felt my abssssssssssssss

  • Thanks DAWJ1993

  • didnt fit in some of door

  • what is the last exercise called?

  • I'll be honest with you. I'm not sure it has a different name. It's a modified pull-up basically. It's almost like a push-up from your knees. It's modified to be a little easier but its still considered a push up. I think this would be the same. Its a modified pull-up.

  • how often should you do body weight exercises ?

  • The only free weights I use are dumbbells and I use these twice a week. I do all of my workouts from home with no expensive equipment. It's really not needed. People tend to use big weight machines as more motivation than effectiveness. I get the results I want doing yago poses, cardio exercises like basketball, and free weights like dumbbell workouts. And I only workout 3-1/2 days a week. You must have rest and recovery days and those are the days you will see your body change.

  • I agree, I follow Ross Enamait's fitness books.

  • can you make a video to show some ab workouts on the pull up bar?

  • I sure will, but also know that your basic pull-up works a multitude of muscles including your core and abs. Try it, do one pull and notice what parts of you body are really being worked. Trust me, you will feel it in your abs with just reg pull-ups. But there are excercises that can be done with the pull up bar that will isolate and target the abs primarilly.

  • ty man i subbed =0 i just got the iron gym but the only thing is it doesn't come with a routine or anything so i don't know how many reps to start out with.
