Yes, I just started learning more about that. This isn't what capitalism was before. Markets turned into oligopolies. They do a good job at trying to convince masses that this is capitalism. I read tragedy and hope by carol quiggly and found enough to understand that more
Yes, the rural poor are defending the current system, because it works very well for them. If they need health care, they get it for free. They simply do not pay for it.
This is not a feminist or anti-feminist, or misandry issue. It is an issue of corruption in the medical industry. There could just as easily be several male doctors up there confessing the same thing. Way to go for cherry picking.
The USA spends the highest percentage of its GDP on healthcare. Will taxes go up? Possibly but speaking from the POV of a person who was billed $2,336 for a single ambulance ride and over $28,000 for a 3 week stay in hospital I think paying an extra $75 per month in taxes would be worth it. Let's get rid of the hinderances to our future e.g. Republicans such as George W. Bush. They had 6 years of majority control of the federal gov't & didn't do anything. Let's send them a message in November.
Shame on Capitalism... Shame on it's inquiry free followers... and Shame on the Sophistry that permits the potential decline of the American Empire. WHAT THE FUCK ARE ETHICS FOR?!
I like the idea of HR 676 but there is a bad side to everything. What is the down side to this program? Such a huge change would cost a ridiculous amount...
Would it decrease wages of those working in the health care field? Wages that are already to low as it is (excluding physicians of course).
What about the amount the businesses hold; when they no longer exist everything comes from the nation so more taxes but how much more since by then there hopefully won't be funding for a war; the money that used to go into health care plans and related things are now collected as tax but how much money in this new addition to our taxes- why don't you look some of these things up. Look up the web site for Linda Peeno since she answers e-mails you should ask here at least
If companies and businesses no longer have to worry about a medical budget for their workers how much leeway does that give companies or how much more income will that prompt for employees or both?
Wages will not increase, if anything, employers will decrease wages in protest to the bill.
I've never seen a employees get a raises because of a company being successful, I've just seen my boss buy corvettes and 2 cars for his 16 yr old daughter.
To the person down there talkin bout there was a time when physician's cared about their patients---she is not speaking about doctors! She is speaking about insurance companies. An HMO is where the DR gets the same payment from insurance company no matter the patients problem therefore the pt's with serious illness and problems get short changed becaue the HMO doesn't want to spend the money.
thats the problem. The HMO's care more about manking millions of more dollors on top of the millions more that they allready have no matter who they have to kill.
Barack Obama's healthcare plan would leave 15 million Americans uninsured and the rest insured through murderous HMO's. Obama takes the 3rd largest donations from the industry of any candidate.
actually i read its the largest donations for the industry and Hillary took the second largest. It look no candidate can get us universal health care.
Dennis Kucinich will give it to us, his plan in Congress gets more popular all the time. Even if he doesn't win the Presidency his plan has a lot of support it can win.
o that plan. I been fowling it and that is what this country needs. I dont get why obama or Hillary who been fighting for heathcare for years wont just come out and say to support HR676 for a free urversal healthcare plan. I guss there no bld leadership out there.
The best thing I found when I was sick and had no insurance was Health Benefits Discount Company. It is actually better than insurance because there is no deductible, no billing, no waiting and no way to be denied.ONLY $19.95 per household Learn more at, double u, double u, double u youdeservehealth (come with no e)
She quit because after she did not allow the man his heart transplant she went in to the lobby and saw they were installing a sculpture there that cost to install the same as the operation.
The sculpture itself cost 3.8 million, enough for 8 heart transplants.
oh their arrogance spreads to animals, I have changed vets 3 times because they try to charge $300 an exam and sell me expensive Frontline when Hartz works just as well.
Thank you for showing this! There was a time when a doctor practiced medicine because he/she cared about the patient. Seems now, everyone's just in it for the money and the patient takes a back seat. Change DEFINITELY needs to take place...
We should be engaged in cooperative, and sustainable trade relations with resource providing countries, allowing them to fight their own civil battles then we'd have immigration, security and health systems that worked for the american people, and yes we'd be hunting down a FEW of THEM HERE on our soil as the US constitution says we should, with the freedoms that Strength, Unity and the ability to create Peaceful*Change gives US, the coalition of those able to pay, take and oppress for profit.
It's so hard to believe that money can be more important than a human life. I agree, it is brave of her, but it did cost someone their life. How very sad. As was commented earlier, "The guilt was eating her alive." How very sad that this happens.
Poor woman. Her guilt was eating her alive. Do you see those jaws drop in that courtroom? WOW! SHe is brave and her testimony is POWERFUL! Kudos to Linda Peeno MD!
Its nice to see someone that cares enough about other people that she'll turn down a promising career.

Good for you, Linda Peeno! Standing up for what is right, admitting your immoral acts and bringing out the truth of the heath insurance companies.
We need more Americans like her!

That's backwards thinking.
