  • Someone should have shot that Manjrekar guy. 10 runs from 30 balls. These days, if you lose a game 19 runs with 16 balls remaining, your whole team would get dumped.

  • @WorldSacred - LOL. True. But, I think R Shastri was always a major culprit. He would leave the balls for first 30 overs and after that would leave the wicket pretending to hit everything. Lazy arses in India.. last night Sehwag could not field after hitting 200+.. tarnished his magnificent innings I believe.

In this game, Venkatapathi Raju was in top form - :) Australians were unable to decide how to hit such loose deliveries from him :)

  • @getalifein I can see what you mean by R Shastri. A good 50 balls that could have been hit for atleast singles. Makes you wonder how many balls weren't scored off. Geoff Marsh was also fairly bad for the Australians. He used up 136 balls for his 78. Almost half the innings gone for 78 runs. These days, you could chase down 208 in 35 overs, and people wouldn't consider it that much of a big deal.

  • @WorldSacred - But it depends on the grounds as well. I believe, 250 is still a very good score in WACA or ACG grounds if the opposition have even decent swing/pace attacks. Thats why, if a team is lazy (in running between the wickets and fielding), cannot do much over there. Thats why I liked (and feared :-) ) D Boon.

Flat wickets in here, however, offer run feast for batsmen even though opposition have strong bowling attacks.

In either cases, you have to do your basics right (run & field).

  • Immaturity and not understanding the format of the game, Indians had this issue for a long time.

  • Indians were so close to winning and they were throwing their wickets away. 10 balls, 16 runs and 5 wickets. You cannot lose from that stage...... I guess you can

  • Half the catches in the deep would have been comfortable sixes today.

  • Tendulkar scores 69 from 100 balls and India lose by 6 runs

  • India have always been on receving end against Australia check this-

Chennai 87 world cup 7 needed of 10 balls,3wkts in hand lost by 1 run

Sydeny 2nd final 92 19 needed of 16 balls ,4wkts in hand lost by 6 runs

Brisbane world cup 92 horror,13 needed of 8 balls,4 wkts in hand lost by 1 run

Baroda 2009 series after bhaji and praveen led back india, 9 rns of 6 balls 3 wkts in hand, lost by 4 runs.

Finally Hyderabad chasing 351 sachin got 175 19 needed of 16 balls 3 wkts in hand lost by 3 runs.

  • This video seems to be a wicket highlight of Australia...bad edit of the video...

  • manjrekar's pathetic form continues in his commentary. absolutely no respite. could someone hire mandira bedi for a cheaper commentator than manjrekar

  • i just loved the dresses these crickets wore during that era of .81-95 in australia and less sponsors were there but now their dresses are shit,a pity after 92 india went in 2000 as the sponsors had shit dresses for all the teams then,,still australia continue to produce great teams year after year,,sachin also payed slow 60 of 100 balls was really dissapointed whn india lost that day, still they should wear these kind of dresses they lot so soothing and intresting...

  • RAvi Shashtri 61 off 115 balls!!! Man did he suck a lot in ODIs

  • oh it has gone up straight up in the air

there is no way in the world [he will drop it]

    ..oh he's DROPPED IT

    haha funny commentators

  • the Kiss of Death! Waugh and Jones had to drink their victory beers out of Border`s sweaty socks as punishment.

  • Bad strike rates!

  • As Warnie once said :

"Tendulkar is the best there was ,is and will be".

  • Sachin scored 400 runs in this series...something outstanding for a 19 year-old playing in australia for the first time...

  • @coolpratheek besides that 2 great test centuries in sydney and perth.Good world cup as well.

  • glass always half full for some folks i guess. tell me something...after tendulkar , lara is the 2nd best batsman of the generation. how many matches has he won out of those he's played? id say tendulkar has won approx 25% of ODIs on his own...a better count than probably any player eva

  • could you believe it, Sachin Tendulcar was even playing then? 20yrs on and he is still playing as good as always!!! He really has to be a legend that cant be touched by any1.

Man i was like 9yrs old in 91 and now i am 28yrs and could say i am in worse shape than sachin could ever be.. now whr did it but that beer bottle!! :(

  • I think Australia needs to be divided like Antarctica and an equal share given to every country.

  • fucking aussy pussies

  • Talk about letting the team down @ 5:48 .. words can't explain sachin. I know he's top scored & crap but come on you have to 'win' matches.

  • @ sardaga

r u seriously expecting a bloody match winning performance against "AUSTRALIA" from a 19 years old????.....God Bless You....the only thing you can do in ur "LIFE" is "TALK" ....grow up.......A

  • If "ISHANT" & "PARNELL" (both at 19) can do it, makes perfect sense to expect "SACHIN" to do it even if the target was stiffer than 19 reqd off 16.

All I'm saying is he played the big shot at the worst time possible, I'm sure "SACHIN" himself would agree.

When you reply to someone stick to the subject, don't get personal and talk about what they can or can't do in their "LIFE".

  • you want to read my reply to rajgill

  • @sardaga It wasn't a bad shot,Whitney took a really good catch.

  • @sganeshkumar1989 wrong on both counts. Terrible shot, easy running catch.

  • lol...a single player can win the match entirely on his own?

what were others doing?sachin played his part and boy it was a good innings under pressure for a 19 year-old...against a tough team...

  • Comment removed

  • "And I thought that the golf loving Indian spinner Ivegotacaddy Fucku was simply marvelous with excellent figures of four for twenty...chew."

  • geez they used to bat really slowly and their shots agressive shots were always usually skied in the air...maybe cos the grounds were bigger, without the ropes..

  • you love the commentary team, i love indians moustaches!

  • if i say it once i'll say it again catches win matches, go mike whitney who dares wins

  • tony greig special-waugh wont drop no way in the world, oh hes dropped it i wcant believe it-love the channel 9 commentary team

  • And Bill Lawry!!! Bleating like a lamb at every close finish.

  • manoj prabhakar was a good bowler... had pretty good variations.

  • He was indeed a good bowler and contributed in every possible way!!!

A late middle order batsman and was asked to open in both forms of Game with both Bat and Ball.

  • Prabhakar and Shastri were both good test match players...ODIs was just not the place for them...prabhakar though had an edge with his good bowling skills...the way Shastri played...I thought he wanted to get out soon, just that the Aussies dropped catches :)) so that he can possibly continue his slow batting and bat India out of the game:)))

  • But Shastry had lot of class in Him.

    Prabhakar was Not used well.

He was forced to Open with Both Ball and Bat though He isnt a Batsman.

India Never Treated The All Rounders well

  • gee, unbiased commentary?

  • where the 1st final

  • Don't have it.

  • @MHJanson I do, but sadly when I recorded it in the Long Play mode. The VCR I recorded it on is finished. On my new VCR which has long play doesn't play my tape.
