@9movielvr my goodness, you posted this comment just as I was thinking about the Weeping Angels! And it's ages since I have had a comment on this video.
these are in NYC i saw them on my trip artists are making them and there's like 17 and counting, people keep calling police cause they think they see jumpers
This reminds me of the Doctor Who story "Logopolis" where Tom Baker keeps seeing someone watching him, looks like one of these statues, then at the end of the story the "stranger" absorbs into him and boom he's Peter Davison. I'm sure its on Youtube
The beach at Crosby has loads of them, art it;s supposed to be, sculpture, I say just because you don't see them move doesn;t mean they don't they could just be lulling us into a false sense of securityY
I think they were put there for nefarious purposes. It's like in Day of the Triffids where everyone just had a triffid in their house and then they all came alive. Oh no - what if all my aloe vera plants do that too - I have loads of them now since I took cuttings!
Most likely. I imagine that the most evil the aloe vera might inflict would be for you to awake cocooned in a very sticky, skin soothing, and slippery goo.
They are all over the place. I saw one just on the street on Waterloo Bridge and I thought - 'oh is that a living statue?' Then at the bus stop I looked up and saw them all over the rooftops - and when I looked far away they were all around in the distance too - it freaked me out because I could have sworn they had just appeared.
It kind of looks like people are about to jump from rooftops. It might alarm people who don't expect it. It's funny, in a very dark way. (Which I find hilarious. :oP)
In San Francisco, we have giant hearted painted different colors and patterns all over the city. It least golems aren't cheesy like the hearts...my precious.

Great music!

It's by Kevin McLeod - he lets people use his stuff for free as long as you give him proper credit.

There's meant to be 31 of these statues, but I've only ever seen the 3 - maybe 4 - along Waterloo Bridge!! Where are the other lot hiding?

Yeah it is very Doctor Who. Someone pointed out the similarity to an episode from the most recent series too.

I'm glad I don't dream. This is scary!
WTF is "Antony Gormley"... I'm a yank
and never heard of such evil.
That's probably not legal, like when the
dare-doers climb big buildings in NYC.
I got a Invasion Of Bodysnatchers feeling...
glad you didn't do the Donald Sutherlang
pig squeal at end of this, else I'd be cussing you right now Elise!

Yes - same cast I believe (of Antony Gormley's body). He is clearly trying to take over the world with robotic versions of himself.

Waterloo.

In the Freemont neighborhood of Seatle, there is a huge bronze statue of V. Lennin, and a really big troll under a bridge.
4ofSwords 4 years ago
That's just creepy. We have fiberglass pelicans all over town, painted in really bizarre ways... but I think you topped us BIG TIME.
