    Raiders operated by companies upto battalion size raids on hard corps enemy installations.

    Raiders are closer to the kin of a Ranger unit, not Force Recon.

  • When I developed the story, I felt that rather than focus on a story that had been told before, it would be more interesting to tell those parts of the story that were not told. Additionally, Ken O'Donnell was not on the Makin Island raid and the story is the Raiders through his eyes as a Raider and not just an over all Raider story. Length was another factor that prevented certain things from being in the final story. I would have liked it longer but I don't make those decisions.
