i know this is over a year old but the oreintation of the 9700 is supposed to be with the fan towards the ram...you can put the mounting clip through the heatpipes of the cooler...its made for it
It was very eye-opening for her, because she always thought that I just slapped PCs together, but she found out it takes alot more time and effort to get a PC built properly. As far as withwrawl, it's actually been pretty busy, PC build wise, I have been very happy that there is so much to do now.
The cooler should do a good job. I don't know much about Intel CPUs, but my understanding is that Intels run cooler than AMDs. You should be able to overclock without much fear in overheating. I overclocked my 6400 to 3.5GHz, and it got up to 121F. On my old PC, I got 113F and overclocked that to 2.6Ghz. You should be fine, good luck ;)
I was glad it fit in the space. I thought the fan controller would be too long, but it fit perfectly. I've seen lots of vids with the controller on the front It looked fine on their builds but I wanted a cleaner look.
It's more PC than she will ever need. I have a nice PC, she should have one too. She was so happy when we got it put together. There are still some more to be done, but in the end it's about making her happy. Not to mention making me happy because I get to build, lol.

I was wondering, I've got a intel core 2 duo e7200 and i was thinking what a gemini II power could do..
because I wanna pull this microprocessor to like 3.6 Ghz each core..
without adding that much vcore ofcourse..

Nice :) I had a AMD Sempron 1.8 GHZ, I could overclock to 2.0 Ghz I remember it was my first gaming computer..
But then the capacitors burnt up and the pc killed me to blue screens..

Oh yeah, it's very easy. I guess I could put some sort of locking mechanism so that you can't pull out the drives so easily.
