hi i am a Spanish boy of 16 who will start high school and want to do something that has to do with design and the truth is that I love what you do and I would like to know your university career and the modules or courses you have Indeed if you have done any to have more information =) I hope your answer please. sorry, my english is bad
9 MILLION POLYS and you were spinning that sucker around like it was a fresh object in a new scene.
what kind of computer is that... a chuck norris? or is chuck norris just standing off camera punching his palm giving your computer the evil eye so it wont lag out?
so lets say i make a 3d model of my hand in maya and import to mud and add details... can i import it back into maya if lets say i wanted my hand a little bigger. i was guesing the skin (details added in mud) will stay im mud and the sketeton will be exported back to maya to get increased?
@DementedDolphin Rendering is extremely dependent on scene and render options. If you want GI or Raytracing, how many polys, reflections/refractions. A render on any computer can take anything from a few seconds to several hours depending on the complexity of your scene. That thing, without any special lighting or anything, probably somewhere around a minute. But as I said, depends on what options you go for and how many lights you put in etc.
Wow, what graphics card(s) are you using? I'm using Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 260's with Dual Quad core i7's and I get a good amount of lag above level 4.
nice thing... but hey guys, you dont need a cintiq for modeling in such an intuitive way. wacom also has far cheaper models, like the Intuos4 generation, this one has no display, but it is better if you dont have ... that much money ^^
That thing better be powerful. If someone has a great PC and wants to get this, they're not gonna drop $2000 to get an interactive piece of paper.
I don't know anything about Mudbox, but level 6 subdivision isn't that demanding on most programs. Blender can run level 6 with no lag on my laptop (haven't even tried higher because I haven't needed it). Still a great setup, though. Love the idea of express keys.
Just save up for it.... Might take you a year or 2 but the price won't go up. Its worth it to hold off on buying a tablet, in fact, I would recommend this as a first tablet because the feel is entirely different.
i have 1100 dollars. this is 1200 dollars. kill me.
