@tmbttes Well, I'm not sure on this but just from commonsense I would say sometime in April after WrestleMania 12 which took place on March 31st of 1996. Vader had just arrived to the WWF prior to WrestleMania and was being pushed as an unstoppable monstrous heel for a match with Yokozuna at WM 12 and there's no way they would allow him to lose this easily on the road to WrestleMania. Taker didn't have a pay-per-view match in April of 1996 but did for May of 96 against Goldust

Although he wears the same attire, his body weight and look is slighty different in around WrestleMania than it was in say July of 1996 when he fought Goldust at International Incident. If it were in May or June, Goldust and Mankind would have most assuredly interfered as that's when the feud between them and Taker was strongly underway but it wasn't that much underway in April

@tmbttes That's another good point tmbtts. Taker's wrestling style in around April after the match with Diesel was weaker because of the encounter with Diesel. This was the case in his match against Justin Hawk Bradshaw as well, then you have Mankind's ambush on top of that so excellent point. So we've effectively exclude January through March; couldn't be after August otherwise Paul Bearer wouldn't be accompanying Taker to the ring and couldn't be in July because Vader was being pushed heavily

i agree tat e was misused in the wwf...well aside from 1996 and parts of 97. i thin in 98, after the royal rumble, he turned into a less menacing, cartoonish jobber. the reason 4 this is they didnt know what 2 do with him. he health was getting worse thats why (probably r other reason 2) his run there was short. had he came to wwf earlier than he did, he'd be the monster he was meant 2 be. he was a monster in wwf in 96 had he came earlier, the monster wouldve lasted longer is my point

Vader was a huge bad guy. Yes, you're absolutely right that he did really hit guys and some, like Mick Foley, had asked him to do so in their last matches in WCW.
