Out of the box shown in the clip the Austrian shooting badge, might be an original, the pilot badge IS junk, the S.S. insignia IS Junk, the Grand Cross a modern FAKE.
Budapest buy is probably a copy of a Freikorps era battalion badge/White Russian Regiments badge, ALL of which are being heavily faked.
Phil old bean, the trick is to research the items BEFORE you buy them pick up a copy of Jörg Nimmerguts ORDEN & EHRENZEICHEN 1800 - 1945, pocket size, and you are buying the piece NOT the story.
Please have your items checked out as I too have been collecting for 50 years and I can tell you from experence that your items are 100% fake.Don't take my word for it but please have your items checked out by a real pro and you will see what everybody is talking about. The people that ripped you off like this should be exposed because they are a POS.
Why does my comment get removed that those are all fakes. Doesnt even matter if WAF members are looking, a 5 year old can tell the case is full of flea market fising sinkers.Yes I feel sorry for Phil here but after 50 years at one point he should have checked out what he was buying.
Poor Guy, he has been completely rogered by whoever sold him that box of shite. Its all fake or fantasy. "Never seen another" Heh heh try hunting the flea markets in Europe see this stuff all the time.
The german items are fake, for sure. The "SS" piece is a fantasy item, and so is the blue badge. I highly doubt that's an original Grand Cross either with that set. . . they go for $30,000.
his oval wreath pilot badge isnt, its an Air Crew badge, issued 1933 to 1935..the one in pic is a cast metal fake,in an original the rear pin should run left to right, not top to bottom..its sad that hes been ripped off by dealers into believing they are real.
Well, I can tell you that that Grand Cross of the Iron Cross is definately a copy. The version with the swastika on it, only one was awarded, and it was to Hermann Georing, and that one was destroyed in a fire. But still having a copy is nice, providing you weren't sold it at what the original would be priced at. I know nothing or very little about the other stuff. :)
Grand Cross is a wrong un, its a copy in one piece cast metal..the scull badge is an SS Mess Dress item..another copy..you can get em on E Bay for £19 atime.the original one is VERY rare, i doubt he has 2 originals!!as for that Sepp Deitrich plate being an original..methinks that whoever sold him that in Austria saw him coming and thought "ahah! gullible American tourist with loads of money!!"...i would have liked to have seen the outcome of this when the expert saw all that stuff.

Poor guy. 50 years of collecting and to have some of his 'best' items shown to the world only see that they're fake or fantasy pieces.
