The problem is dipshits that want the government to take care of them and you get what you deserve. Live free and take care of yourself or die like a whinny little bitch!
Hmmm Richard Maddow is still on the air, didn't know he had any viewers left at all. Democrats are going down in 2010 and Obama will do a Jimmy Carter impression 2012.
Why is it so hard for people to figure out that there is a direct correlation between the huge stacks of cash health insurance companies give congressmen/women and their votes? They don't care about us, the people, unless we DEMAND that they represent us. All you on the right must enjoy getting screwed over by health insurance comoanies but the rest of us are tired of it. If you ever get sick with cancer you'll be literally dying for a public option.
Blitzer grilled Axelrod who stumbled and bumbled through an incoherent explanation of why Obama favors more consumer choice by opposing choice through increased health insurance competition across state lines. What?? Why expect these Marxist to have any concept of free markets and competition? This administration is a comedy show where all solutions are considered EXCEPT those which might actually help.
America is beginning to seeing right through this hope n change jackassery.
The effect of allowing people to buy insurance across state lines would be the castration of the ability of the individual states to regulate insurance practices within their own borders. All of the corporations would just relocate to whatever state had the worst consumer protection laws, and there would be nothing that you or anyone else could do about it.
And yes, we are sure that would happen, because that's exactly what happened when we did the same thing with the banks.
Rachel is half right about one thing though. There has been a many decade collusion between bureaucrats & big business. There is also a big myth held by the general public. That industry wants deregulation. Nothing could be further from the truth, big business loves the regulations because they push out competition.
The public "option" isn't an option. It is a system to completely destroy any option other than a govt one. Anyone who read the bill 3200 knows this.
But it really doesn't matter, anyone who has looked at the budget & debt forecasts know that America only has a few years before complete collapse. The amount of debt burden is *impossible* to sustain. Most of the politicians are too afraid or ignorant to tell you this and the media is invested against it. IE they won't tell you either.
We need to get more involved. In the commet section of my profile you will find several ways in which you can do just that including phone numbers, petitions and so much more. We can NOT let the lunatics run the asylum.
