  • Repping Tennessee!

  • I don't have a dog in this fight. But the lift was good and it pisses me off that the man got blatantly screwed out of a milestone lift. I had planned on attending the SPF Worlds with my friend J Robinson, but said fuck it after watching this bullshit.

  • As a judge myself, why would the two side judges be looking at the lockout? They should be looking at the feet, butt for fouls. Head judge should be looking at lockout...best view. Side judges have same observation as the camera shot in question in which jesse says is pretty much BS. Its funny everybody even people that don't know Keith would give him the lift, what are we all seeing that the SPF refuses to see??

  • As i said before....Keith you got the lift. It looks and sounds like the SPF and their judging are back stepping. The judge himself (thebigwade)said he and another judge saw something wrong ??? whats up with that. The judges should have pulled you aside and all of you come to a conclusion, benefit goes to the lifter. Prime example of why this sport will go nowhere. Jesse should have over ruled and given you the lift Keith. This is why i dont lift in meets, money in their pockets and you pissed.

  • Great lift again and you looked fired up!!!

you locked it out my friend they just hatin!! i call em like i see em

  • Absolutely awesome Keith! 555lbs is a tremendous feat! It ain't the 10 100lb plates the Blue Cyclone works out with, but we need to give credit where credit is due. Keith works the bench like a PBR rider on a bull; he doesn't give up before the horn. You guys need to read Proverbs 11:11. You all should be positive influences for your sport of powerlifting. All the player haters and wannabes need to put their egos and insecurities aside and congratulate a true champion, Keith Mackey.

  • Wow brother that lift looked perfect to me. Looks like some lack luster judging my friend.

  • I would also like to reiterate that I have the utmost respect for Keith on and off the platform. To insinuate that there was something amiss beyond what I saw on the platform towards me or the other judges is not only unfair but, it's also very wrong. Keith is a great bencher and I feel that his best lifting is well ahead of him.

  • 555lb lift at 254lbs. 2.185 times your body weight...Whose doing that around here? Anyone? Anyone? I dont think so...Obviously you guys at the Racquet Club are no joke. The only people winning are 300+ lbs and a lower ratio...Keep on and stay injury free and you'll own many more records soon...

  • I almost forgot! Great job Keith! Keep pushing hard and improving. They can't red light the TRUTH! WHHHOOOOO!

  • What I saw looked good, though I wasn't there. The arms looked locked from the angle. With it being "close?" maybe the judges should have automatically gone with a good lift. From the video, I'd have to go with a thumbs up. Either way, great form and effort Mackey...

  • Solid lift. Locked out. Not sure what happened with the judging. Good job Keith!

  • There were 3 judges looking elbow level across a flat bench and you tell me a video held up shooting down over the left arm has a better view. Unbelievable. Jesse

  • This is why the best lifters are sick of the SPF. I mean he's been doing this competitively for 20 years now and every time his left arm looks like that. Unbelievable. That's why this sport won't improve locally in competitions right there...

  • I was also right there at the expo, one you didnt protest the lift and now you are doing it with a camera held up over your left arm and it does not show what the judges saw. I was setting eye level, over Kens shoulder and could see the whole lift. I hate to say it but I saw exactly what they saw.

I am fair with all lifters and I am also fair with all judges and anyone involved. To say we are not is just plain wrong. Why didn't you discuss this with me at the meet or anytime since. Jesse

  • Mackey

You know I have always been fair with you and everyone else. You protested a lift a few years ago and went about it in the proper way, I was right there and agreed with you and you won the protest and got the lift, remember the 645 Bench?

    Jesse

  • It was your normal lockout. Good lift.

  • SAD DAY FOR THE SPF.

  • thats 555 pounds Raw!!

  • Since the lift was video taped, the Federation should avoid the overwhelming shame from the bad judging and award the obvious clean lift to Mackey. The USAPL overturns bad decisions. There is no reason the SPF can't do the same.

  • three white lights.....

  • Federations and lifting meets wonder why lifters don't show for meets. Besides being costly for the lifter its lifts like these that are red lighted and thats why lifter dont show or wont return. Im not saying to give a lift to all lifters but when its a lift like this, i have to side with the lifter on this one. The judges blew this lift. Maybe we need instant replay. Mackey is a awesome drug free lifter who i feel was robbed of his lift. Keith you got the lift...white lights from me bro....

  • Being a judge myself, what i observed was a good lift. If in doubt, the lift always goes to the lifter. On a lift like the (raw too)if the judges felt something was wrong all judges should have gotten together to see what each other had observed then talked with the lifter. The weight was controlled by the lifter not the lifter controlled by the weight. As judges you have the obligation to pull the lifter after a questionable lift and see if all can come to a fair conclusion. Be fair to all.

  • Sorry Big Wade. I just realized that it was you who was judging. I have all the respect in the world for you. BUT, Big Mack's lift was a good one.

  • BEASTLY. That was one hell of a lift and a good one.

I agree with drgrowc and call bullshit on the obviously serious judging failure. They fucked that one up. ED Hochuli style....

  • Very strong

I hated to red light it. From my chair and the left side judge felt you didn't lock out.

We both also felt that something was going on with the left side. Your 3rd attempt, the right was ready to go, left wasn't. Of course, it was damn heavy as well.

    535 looked great.

  • I am not going to be an internet judge. It could have went either way but I do respect a judge that calls it the way he sees it and sticks by his decision.

Keith keep lifting heavy weights brother and wade keep calling the way you see it too.

  • No one mentioned that the judges actually made the lift dangerous by saying he didn't lock it out. Come on, he held almost 2.2 times his bodyweight for a eternity and that IS NOT SAFE...His left side has done that since I've known him...I've seen a lot less of a lift with no red lights in the SPF. Maybe Big Mack needs more friends in higher places. Big Mack never said anything about this lift...All the other lifters did!

  • The 3 of us had no intention nor did we make anything dangerous. It was loud, I yelled to lock it, called rack and called it again as it was loud in the building. To infer that there was something beyond that is asinine. He asked what I called and I told him rig thten, simple as that.

  • Thanks for the explanation.

  • BULLSHIT AGAIN!! LIFT WAS GOOD!
