In the big picture slavery wassent even an issue before 63, slavestates contra nonslave stats were, well that you can call battleing for the slaves (the history is sanetised to look like that i know) but in the big picture the war was about POWER and land nothing else...Before 63 when Europe threatens to interfear. i am not saying slavery was good far from , but i dont see no reason to alter history . And in that you could have a point, but i will still argue that even there were people from the north (probaly south to) who had the slaves as their reason, and even if Lincon was against slavery, the issue was still not slavery before 1863, just pointing that in the begining there were no political agreement on just that issue betveen Union politicians not as a unity i mean , so i will still mean that the politics loeading up to war had very many issues ..Also slaveri among many.
