Love pottery--my grandad and grandmother made pottery--he threw most of the pots and she did the designs with the slip---she also made sculptures of owls and other animals----they sold a bunch of owls, crabs, and pottery at the art and craft shows--ha!
wish I would have learned this craft from them--I'm an artist and definitely could do the designs on pots or sculptures---ha! I'm a folk artist and do other styles as well

Thanks so much for posting this. I am from Seagrove. I now live in Arkansas. I just found out Richard Gilson of Seagrove passed away in Jan. I was so sad to hear this. My mother worked for him and I have such fond memories of his shop. This video makes me so homesick. Thanks again.
another great, great video!! beautiful art work!! I am all for depending and supporting on products made right here at home in our United States of America!! I hope to see this little amazing town for myself one day now!!
Just talented gifted good ol boys and real country ladies how refreshing!! makes me miss Texas!!
As are all of your videos, this is fascinating! I love NC and this seems like a worthwile destination! Thank you for sharing all of your adventures!5 stars!I am highlighting this on my channel & sharing it with my friends!
VERY interesting!I really like these informative videos, that takes me places I'm never likely to otherwise see.. :) Thanks for subbing.. Will check some more of yours.. now! :D
Hi Dan, I love this one it's quirky and totally watchable, it's also great to see artwork that is created on your own soil using your own clay and putting something of yourself into the creation, I guess that's what art is all about, I look forward to seeing more, take care, LUCKEEPEET
Dan...Your videos rival the ones seen on the various travel channels...with one important difference...YOU...You are so good at making the subjects of your videos seem like old friends...I think you do the same for your viewers...You just seem like an old friend...that i haven't got around to meeting yet.
Dan your videos have gotten much better and well produced. I still say you should look into getting a PBS grant and make a documentary of the most important American historical site that is overlooked. You touched on it a few videos back.
And yes your videos are getting much better, the only thing I think you need to work on is the credits, they are to far apart and go by a bit to fast.
My daughter and I love your videos. Keep posting them. We are starting a website of traveling through Tennessee because we love it so much. It's under construction right now but check back in about 3 months and hopefully people will like it. It's everythingTN. We have tons of old family videos of Opryland from 1989 thru 1997 when they closed, and will be putting some of them on the site also. The Townsend Festival is what gave us the idea.
I dont have any experience or background, (I know it must show)I just wanted to share our travels. So I thought this was the best way, just tell people where we are going and then try to share the experience or visit.
so I guess I just decided to do this one day ha ha
No local press, but we have been mentioned in a couple of articles in the Coal county up in West Virginia and had a video featured on a local station in Knoxville Tennessee, I suppose i don't think much about it, we have been doing a Travel website for four months and it is so much fun and it doesnt hurt that People (such as yourself) on Youtube are so nice and generous with kind comments.

Good quote from Robert Stevens the founder of Geek Squad. The increase of the "Wal-Mart's" of the world increases the desire for hand-made goods.

Thank You for the comment, I have continued to try to improve the editing, but wasnt sure it had.
I have to ask, which one are you recommending for a documentary?

The one about the hotel that was falling apart.
