her death was truly one of the saddest moments of my life..final fantasy 7 gave you such in depth backstory with its characters.. i felt as if i truly knew her as if she were a real person who i spoke with only moments before..if there is one thing i know for sure.. its that Aerith will always have a place in my heart, from the way she laughed to when she got angry or even when she cried... she was one of the most human characters of all time

Anyone whos played the game should easily remember the scene where Aeris/Aerith is trying to use the holy materia when Sephiroth comes from above and impales her through the back infront of Cloud...poor girl didn't know what hit her.

@Sephiroth1285 The thing that I don't get is that Square Enix can be such a cash cow with its prequels, sequels, spin-off's and remakes, but they won't remake FFVII. Do they realize how much money they'd rake in? I think the reason that they haven't done it yet, is because it is a pretty big project and there is a lot that would have to be added and subtracted from the original. Like the dialogue. They can't keep all the swearing that's in the original if they want to keep their T rating.

I think Aeris (I'm American and have called her Aeris since the first time I ever played the game, so.. Aerith sounds like a lisp anyway.) has become like.. the most beloved video game heroine of all time.. Or at least the most beloved from the Final Fantasy series.
