I saw the pic of the double violin, but how is it played? Does he play on one neck and music is played an octave below electronically on the nex below
LS, if you are reading this, you should know your music is beyond any comparison. I'm a mridangist, a jazz lover and a physicist. It is my life's dream to see you perform live. Ever thought of a Carnatic concert in Syracuse University, New York? There is Setnor School of Music here, and I hope they can make arrangements for your concert. Show mercy on this fan of yours!
I have heard this piece so many times since 2005 when I first heard it. Redefined music for me. I used to play the Ghatam to this running on my stereo system. L Shankar is GOD on the violin. What a genius! Am sad, that he doesn't release albums like this anymore. I consider him my Guru. He taught me how to appreciate music through his albums. I learnt all my drumming by simply following the intricate Talam's and Nadai's in his albums. Zakir and Vikku are the geniuses who completed the picture.

i don't know much but i think that deep meditation makes this music.... i can just hear the peace from it that is coming from the player.

One of my favorite songs. This put me at ease and not deal with the day to day frustration in New York City
