Kentucky's problem is, we keep re-electing Mitch McConnell.
Mitch McConnell is worth over 30 million dollars and has 5 of his top campaign contributors being wall street bankers. Mitch McConnell is bought and paid for by wall street and does not care about the middle class in the United States, specifically Kentucky.
Wake up Kentucky! If you want to make some money, do not vote for Mitch McConnell !
I appreciate our military very much, but parents whining about the politicians sending them off to war isn't helping anything. It's not like he was forced into the military.
Mitch McConnell is a representative that reflects Kentuckys prevailing attitudes which means he's just a RACIST BIGGOT and he HATES that Barack Obama being in the White House because he's black. Basic old school white male inferiority complex. Plus you just can't argue that Univerity Kentucky just doesn't compare with Harvard.
WTF. What happened to the KY accent? I lived there in the late 70's and couldn't get a job cause I didn't have an accent. Often, I would hear 'go home yankee'. So, wtf happened to the accent again?
'Our town' - the people who grew up in berea, who love berea, who relish in the thought that we live in a good, safe, no-frills town. Those are the people I am referring to. But it's hard for us, again, the life-long residents of Berea, to explain to outsiders time and time again why 'our town' is so liberal and for lack of a better term 'full of ridiculousness'.

Honestly, I don't know that any war is 'necessary', but that could easily be debated by some too...the war in Iraq in particular...I believe we were all under false impressions about the start-up of this war. I've actually had the privilege of talking to some young, returning troops of this war. Their biggest complaint - "Why are we there?' - the $64K question.
not everyone from berea is a tree-hugging liberal. no one likes war, however, incessant protesting in berea makes the rest of us berea residents look like fruits. once again, thank you liberals...you've made yet another mockery of our town.
Were you people prepared to protest the Reverend Phelps when he threatened to come to Berea and protest the funeral of the West boy, who died in combat? Probably not, right? You're protesting the war, like many are. But are you also standing by the young men and women who are out there fighting - regardless of whether or not they realize why they're fighting? Probably not. So, to me, my friend, that's being a hypocrit. I'm not on here to begin a verbal war.
You bunch of hot headed liberals make me sick. You don't give 2 hoots in H*ll about our troops. If a real troop who has actually been in Iraq was there he would have been ashamed of you all. Shame on you for you narrow views.

Thank you so much for posting this. I wasn't able to be there. If I had been there, I would have tried to ask him why his own service record has been expunged from his official biography and exactly why was he dismissed from serving.
