Hey guys, I just put this kit together for my daughter on Xmas day. Without your excellent video, we'd be having turkey about midnight if at all. Thank you so much.
At 6:20 he says that you never want any metal to metal, but on most hi hat cluthces there will always be metal to metal! Thats because of the "pole" that goes into the hole on the cymbal is not covered by anything, witch gives the cymbal metal to metal...
(what i always do, is to take a small piece of duck-tape around where the cymbal will go and my cymbal will last longer! :D
i know a guy whos been playing for like 4 5 years he wants his toms on his bass he hates drum rack plus its the old school way the high hats make that ching chu sound its hard to put it int o wors your have to hear it to to know the diffrence
ummm a hi hat is the smaller looking cymbal that makes a noise not so loud as a crash, a crash is a cymbal makes more noise i cant really explain it but hope it helps
You raise higher the bottom portion(the leg that goes into the B.D.the arm (top)bring it towards the player. I suggest you do this with your toms mounted.when you've done this, you loosen the toms from the mount and if you hold the bottom rim and bring together. Becareful when loosing up the mounts as with the toms on with that weight in can drop on your B.d. I used to have a Pearl kit that had similar mount system to these, and mainly Pearl still mntains those mounts.refer to a Pearl kit.
That set up looks wack

Maybe put the tom closer next to each other and put them on a 80 degree angle. It looks idk.. like it lacks thought, no offense though.

I agree with you Maximus that does not look
right at all. Who's playing that kit ? Alvin &
the chimpmunks ?? Man rearrange that garbage.
sticksu123 3 years ago 3
what do you suggest?
i mean, my drums don't look like that...but i have a rack. what can you really do with that tom mount system?
postmasterflex 3 years ago
this is a bad example really.. You shouldn't have your toms like that.
