  • Being in coke commercials, we can drink free coke and get paid :)

  • this doll!

  • If I took Sandra Dee out for a date back then, I'd definitely spike her Coke with a shot of rum when she went to powder her nose! .....Is that wrong?!?

  • @PoutinePete Yes. Sandra Dee was raped by her step father. She wouldn't have appreciated being date raped. She was crazy about Bobby Darin anyway. I don't blame her, he was pretty hot.

  • @EmpressOfWyoming58 -----"shot of rum" does not equate to a "date rape".

  • Woow..Sandra Dee looked real cute in the old days..cokes gooooood!

  • seems like they didnt give a fuck about getting sick and fat if you drink that much coke. And it seems that no one is interested in this fact in the future

p.s.: thx for the clip ddimuro ^^

  • @Daverdare keep in mind...there was no "obesity epidemic" back then in the USA like there is now. People were far more active. There was nearly zero fast food (Macdonalds Etc) NO computers, Ipods, DVD players, cable TV (when I was a kid there were only 3 channels on TV and they were not in color. Kids would stay out all day riding their bikes, playing sports etc....nobody was sitting in front of the computer or TV all day ....I am old enought to remember that time...

  • @inkey2 Coke had real sugar instead of super addictive, fattening high fructose corn syrup. And yes, your body can tell the difference. Write Coke and e-mail and demand they ake hfs out of their products.

  • @EmpressOfWyoming58 they also used to use extractsfrom real coca leaves, hence the name.

  • Nuka cola o.o

  • "Everybodys' happy when you bring home the coke" xDD

  • She was a real cutie

  • seems like Miss Dee died very young. What happened to her?

  • @ramblergarage , she died very old, and she was married to the singer bobby darin (dream lover), who died early, their lovestory was known all over the world

  • @hmeldgaard I didnt know that, she certainly was one of American's sweetharts.

  • i can't believe they replaced her voice hmmm....

  • @japroxable they replaced her voice?.....that definately sounds like her

  • @inkey2 well i heard another video- same commercial- with her voice and it sounded way different and more like her

  • i never ever saw someone talk on the phone about coke and while doing that having a bottle of it in the air

  • longest commercial evarrr...lol...thanks for sharing though!

  • @shawtyziz10 back then the commercials may have been longer but there were far less commercial breaks than now. Most shows only had one (or two sponsors; an "alternate" sponser)...like Coca-cola....Pall Mall Cigarettes... etc. There would be a commercial in the beginning....like " 77 Sunset Strip is brought to you by:....." then they would cut to the first commercial....then a midway commercial....and maybe one at the end. Also commercials seemed more interesting (or at least amusing) back then

  • Coca Cola used to have real cocaine in it back in the day.... randomness..I know but true

  • Oh, it's so wonderful! And song's so pleasant!

  • What a charming ad

  • I love this!

  • The song played by the band at :32 is a take on Sousa's "Liberty Bell March," which was later the theme for Monty Python. Somehow it all fits.

  • Where the heck do you find stuff like this, man??

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Collectors Book Shop on Hollywood Blvd way back in the early 90's, on VHS, before DVDs or the web!

  • those are my friday nights. =3

  • i just found out today that im realted to her i guess that was kinda random but i find that cool lol sry didnt mean to sound annoying or something...

  • That is VERY cool!

  • It is COOL! Tell me more, in no way is it annoying to me...... She was a cutie...... does Bobby Darin figure into it? LOL

  • @LaurenNikkilee That's really cool :) You are a lucky person :P

  • actually most commercials now r liek only 15 secs true lol

  • lol i guess im around people talking about cocaine more than coca cola, because thats what i assume when i hear "coke"

  • Hmmm...she was 16 back then when they made this advert? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

This is also a pretty long commercial. These days they made it so simple, like 30 seconds to a minute.

  • audrey hepburn is goregeous

  • You can tell this is when Cola had Cocaine in it ; )

  • lol hahahaha

  • Sandra Dee is so beautiful. I wish they have actresses like her on hollywood these days.

  • fuck off pinkk techn

  • se lo digo a Pinkk Techno

  • i wish i was a teenager in the 50's!!!!

  • In those days, directly from a cold bottle, on a hot day, it was pretty good!

  • callate gil

coca es lo mas no sabes un a mierda

  • shut up its my opinion bitch

  • Sure sounds to me like Sandra's voice was dubbed here - this is an adult speaking, not her real teen voice.

  • Yes, Sandra's voice is dubbed here. On her A&E Biography, "Sophisticated Baby", you can view the commercial with her original vocal track.

  • This commericial is so old fashioned. Sandra Dee said that she has "to market" for her

parents instead of "I have to grocery shop for my parents."

This commericial is an antique. Sandra Dee

was beautiful all of her life.

  • Sandra Dee was born in 1944 if this ad is 56 she is 12yrs old

  • I was hoping I'd find this commercial here. Thanks for posting it. Sandra Dee was a very pretty girl!

  • This spot was first seen in 1956, when Sandra was appearing in commercials and just starting out in show business....

  • I love the car!!!

  • sandra dee? who's that? when I hear "Sandra Dee" I think of that song from Grease... "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee?" connection? I feel out of it now, lol. I was born in 1992, though. :)

  • Yep, that was Sandra Dee.

  • I was born in 1960..and this was even before my time...lol

  • Sandra Dee was an actress/model. Her most well known movie was Gidget, which made her popular with teens in the 50s. She was married to singer Bobby Darren from 1960-67. She died in 2005 I think. She was 14 when she did this ad. FYI I was born in '93!

  • wierd

  • The girl on the phone is Sandra Dee, the original Gidget (1959). Wow, thanks for posting.

  • I thought it just LOOKED like her! Are you sure?

  • Yes I am sure. She was VERY young when she did this. And don't forget, she was just 17 when she made Gidget I am old enough to have seen some of her pictures. By 12 she was a successful model and made her fim debut at 14.

  • I loved her in A SUMMER PLACE. I thought the girl in this commercial was hired for that "look" but had no idea it was really her. Thanks for the info!

  • You are welcome. PLEASE keep this one on always. It's a nice reminder when I was young once. Sigh.

  • Now now, you couldn't be much past 55. I'm 50, I feel your pain!

  • The girl on the phone is Sandra Dee, the original Gidget (1959). Wow, thanks for posting.

  • Congratulations for this commercial. It's my favorite here too. Please, keep it!

  • Good Retro coca cola commercial. "BRING HOME A COKE."

  • With the way they're acting, I can only assume that Coke's back then still had "shit" in it. Far out, solid and right on, man. Let's rap it out! groovy. Blow rocks!!!!

  • Some things never change! Of course nowadays when teenagers chat on the phone they use cell phones! Love those glass Coke bottles!

  • Look At Me.. I'm Sandra Dee!!
