  • How is the Cherub Angel?

    Is he aggressive?

I really want on in my nano!

  • so turning it over will get rid of it?

  • @jayjay2033 Not in every case. It depends on the reason the algae is growing. If it is due to an over production of nonessential nutrients in the tank such as nitrates and phosphates, it will not get rid of the problem. These may occur with over feeding, inadequate filtration, and using water that is not Reverse osmosis for making new saltwater and top off. Sometimes it is a problem with an limited cleanup crew, such as hermits crabs, emerald crabs, snails, stars, etc... Hope this helps.

  • how do you get rid of the algea?

  • @jayjay2033

I turned the rock over to the other side. I know it seems simplistic, but it worked.

  • xenia grow very fast! watch out, check out my video i posted

  • @ArcAngel9008

I know...but I like them. They are now in my 20 gallon tall with a metal halide lighting system. I will post another video soon.

  • What was the other fish?

    The clownfish, and whatelse,

    sorry I couldn't catch it.

  • Cherub angel and Candy Cane Goby

Unfortunately...it did not. Sorry I havn't check this for like six months. Anyway, I have a new lighting system on my new 20 gallon xtra tall, and my new rose anemone seems to be doing really good.

  • @johnsemail1000 well thats good i just got a rbta a few months ago and its doing good....i started a 55 in jan. im glad to hear urs is to :)

  • nice healthy xenia coral u have their? what kind of equipment are u using dude? is it ok if I can use just a biowheel 200 filter in a 10 gallon nano tank should that be fine for the xenia corals also? are u using aqua clear 10, 20 or 30 dude pelase tell me thanks wanna be friends too?

  • Yes, the biowheel will work. However, you have to do weekly water changes or have no fish in the tank. You also have to change or clean your filter once/month with no fish and twice/month with fish (minimal bio load). I am talking 2-3 really small fish. The more fish, the more pollution in the tank, and the more you have to keep all of the expensive equipment. (such as a protein skimmer, phosban and nitrate reactors).

  • Check out the nanolagoon series on ipsfdotcom.

  • Tank looks really good. I like the black back. Congrats

  • just wondering do you dose coral supplements?

  • Yes...phytoplankton and Fuel. I also dose with iodine, calcium and magnesium once per week. This changes depending on the salt you use. I use Instant Ocean, which is lower in calcium and magnesium than I would like. The best salt to use is the oceanic brand, and then you don't have to add those every week. I rarely add alkalinity since I think it messes too much with the balance of the tank.

  • 2 questions..

1st of all is that a ten gallon tank?

2nd do you plan on sticking to the h.o.b filter or maybe plan on somehow setting up a sump later on somehow?

    nice tank by the way

  • Yes, it is a ten gallon tank and I plan on sticking to the h.o.b. filter. With fish in the tank, you have to change or clean the filter every 2 weeks. With such a small tank, and since I do a weekly 10% water change, there is no need for a sump. Although... I don't think it would hurt anything if I added one. Thanks for you comment.
