  • Hey guys,im just wondering what would be better for a 13 year old, Muay Thai or Jiu-Jitsu?

  • What it song?

  • Muay Thai + jiu jitsu = CM Punk

  • oh by the way look up daniel moraes and see how good he is =)

  • Muay Thai is my favorite striking art. For grappling, i prefer wrestling. Jiu-jitsu is an amazing art, i love seeing Jiu-jitsu in use.

  • Hey! Jiu-jitsu boxers (or supporters) do you know Buakaw Por Pramuk.

If you can beat him with Jiu-jitsu, I will accept that Jiu-jitsu is better than Muay Thai.

  • @meteoriod thats impossible..lol..iv my brother trained with him (lucky son of a bitch) but i went one day to go visit my brother and buakaw kicked my ass. i mean im no black belt yet but im pretty fuckin good. iv beatin my instructor daniel moraes once (BY SHEAR LUCK) but im pretty good. but anyways i could barely get to buakaw without getting kicked or kneed in the face.. in the end.. i only lasted like 30sec. -_-. HE KNOCKED ME THE FUCK OUT WITH A spinning heel kick.

  • @meteoriod Baukaw is a bad ass Muay Thai fighter but if he gets taken down, what's he going to do? Even Ramon Dekker lost to a Jiu Jitsu guy.

  • ควย อย่ามาเทียบ

  • jiu-jitsu Forever

  • Muay Thai Was Better

  • @Jayzane91 agreed

  • I hope every student liked the video!

Keep training for sports. And to motivate young people with problems to keep training hard and shaping their charakter :)

  • jiu jitsu it's better

  • OOOOOO CHIDO

  • muy-thai + jui juitsu = MMA fighter

  • @karz12 Boxing + Wrestling = MMA Champion

  • @ChronoTriggerMusic so kicking isnt important? lol

  • @karz12 Not really, having resistant legs and knowing how to block kicks is very important, kicking; not so much. Compare the amount of fights finished due to kicks vs punches. How many MMA fighters can you name that are known for their kicks?

  • @ChronoTriggerMusic Cung Le, Cro Cop, Anderson Silva, etc. They are known for their kicks. The very best.

  • @Agtren Cung Le and Cro Cop are good fighters but they're not the great. Plus, they're just exceptions, they're 1 in a million. And, Anderson Silva, while having knocked out Vitor Belfort with a really memorable kick is not known for his kicks or kick knockouts.

  • @ChronoTriggerMusic Relative inompetence of many MMA fighters aside when it comes to kicking aside, I think it's obvious how potentially dangerous kicks are if you master them. Of course that requires years of serious training, whiich makes it unpopular with those who hope to become UFC champions overnight.

  • @karz12 and what about wrestling :] ?

  • @karz12

    boxing + wrestling + bjj

boxing + muay thai + bjj

  • @karz12 Mixed Martial Arts= Any combination of 2 or more martial arts

  • @orionrj16 yes, but you wont win

  • @karz12

So, you are saying that my Mixed Martial Arts equation doesn't equal winning, and by that you are implying that yours does.

Let's assume Jon Bones Jones is a winner (a variation of winning, so to speak).

Bones = MMA fighter = winning

Bones = wrestling + BJJ + unorthodox striking

wrestling + BJJ + unorthodox striking ≠ muy thai + jui jitsu

    Thus,

Bones ≠ MMA Fighter ≠ winning

Is that about what you mean? Because if that's what you mean, then I have to say you are wrong.

  • @orionrj16 Go look at UFC and ALLLLLL ur answers will be solved.

  • @karz12 You are the one who needs to look at the UFC.

GSP = primarily wrestling + jui jitsu + boxing + muy thai + gymnastics haha

Chael Sonnen = wrestling + some boxing

Dan Henderson = greko roman wrestling + unorthodox boxing

Cain Velasquez = wrestling + boxing

Do you see what I am saying? It's not that there are no MMA fighters who's primary tools are "jui jitsu + muy thai," look at Anderson and Shogun. I am just saying that that's not the only combination that makes an MMA fighter.

  • @orionrj16 yeah but for me jiu jitsu + muay thai is one of the better or the best wy to become an MMA but is not the only way jejej

  • @orionrj16 UFC # 1

  • I find it amusing that people keep calling Jui Jitsu gay. I don't really care. They can call it gay all they want after I twist off their arm in a omoplata. Or, more appropriate to their comment, a good, long triangle choke.

  • jiu jitsu e BRASIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL. PORRAAAAAAAAAAA...VAI TOMAR NO CU O RESTO...

  • not one person pivoted on there foot while throwing a kick... I'll tell you what you bring your guys to ohio, come to sheffiled jui jitsu see what real gracie jitz is about.

  • Naga City Camsur. Naghahanap ng training partners 0909-9629553

  • in a real fight on the street anyone that play that jui jitsu gay shit on me I'll shove both my thumbs in there eye socket and the fight is done there because that nikka can't see shit anymore hahaha

  • @tomagotchii Lol, in a real fight on the street you will never even have the chance to even touch with a finger a good jiu-jitsu user :D

  • @tomagotchii you would be too busy trying to pull out of an arm bar or something. then it would break. ju jitsu always beats non educated street fighters. always

  • @tomagotchii hey if its a survival mode fight hell yea bro....these ground fighters think theres honor in fighting on the floor??......i just watched enter the dragon......bolo but the gut in an arm bar.......roper bit the shit outta him.....lol another survial technique WEAKNESS from the greatest EVER .......BRUCE LEE.......HOLD ME AND IM BITING THE FUCK OUTTA YOU......NO HUMAN CAN TAKE THAT PAIN......AND IM TALKING REAL UNDERGROUND FIGHT NOT THIS WEAK SHIT YOU SEE ON TV!!!

  • where is muai thai? nobody kicked & beat

  • It is therefore natural to see comments from people who speak evil of Jiu Jitsu as most people in the world does not know to differentiate the traditional Jiu Jitsu Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and is totally wrong about something that someone unknown especially if it never came to Brazil and never in a Gracie academy.

  • The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is also known by its practitioners in Brazil as "checkered floor" because it is an art in which the reasoning is the pincipal requirement and can not force a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter to defeat 20 opponents, 30 to 40 pounds heavier one in a fight against an independent art practice, this due to the aggressive style and great physical fitness than their adiquirem BJJ practitioners with training exercises and mass, and a quality of life and stuffs they use.

  • That's not Gracie or Brazilian jiu jitsu jiu jitsu as it is known, this is the traditional jiu jitsu contrary to what many think it originated in India 5,000 years before Christ for later migrated to China by Bodhidharma Buddha and only very later went to Japan with the expansion of Buddhism in Asia.

The jiu jitsu arrived in Brazil in 1915 where he was the first case of change of nationality of a fight and was modified and transformed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by Master Carlos Gracie.

  • 256 straight people didn't like the grappling.

  • Well, it's the fighter who makes the fight, it's not the sport :)

  • muay thai is a full contact striking art, and jiu jutsu is grappling, knocking people onto the ground and the rest goes on there, the two are different TYPE of martial arts, so they can't really be compared, so you can't say muay thai is better than jiu jutsu or jiu jutsu is better than muay thai because they are both good for different situations

  • @mudkipzuzu yep you are thats why i say judo is better than jiu jitsu, because jiu jitsu fighters are so brutal at the begining that is easy to counter, but it is just a personal opinion

  • @Danieldx22 wait what do you mean by "yeah you are"? i didn't say anything about myself lol. and true, judo and jiu jutsu are both grappling arts, which makes them actually comparable, and i kinda agree judo is better, but its just my opinion because its japanese and jiu jutsu today is kinda too mainsteam, after all its one of the most important arts used for MMA.

  • @mudkipzuzu i mean you are right X3

  • @Danieldx22 ah ok, cool. thanks, i'm glad people can see what i see.

  • Savate is a good fighting style.

  • @hatel51 Savate is based on kick boxing, wright?

  • Comment removed

  • @Donciavas111 Amm, I think Kick Boxing was originated from Savate.

  • A good martial artist has respect for all those martial artist who train in other martial arts and does not make disparging remarks!

  • i think Jiu-jitsu look like gay - -

  • Lol I'm just having a fun time reading all those retard comments:

"Jiu Jitsu is gay in street"

I wanna bet that i'm (I learning Jiu Jitsu 6 years already) can beat up every Muai Thai gay fighter.

  • @myslimakastreetfight. You have probably never been in a fight against someone who can do Jui Jitsu? .....And just for fun...he might break all your bones....and then fuck you in the ass.......You better hope that guy is not a gay jui jitsu fighter.

  • @TheKhazimula Actually grappling = wrestling, NOT fighting. Actual competitive fighting is striking to see who's the last man standing, respect and honor in martial arts is the basic principle of "do NOT strike a downed opponent", reason why "MMA" should not be called a martial art. It allows jumping on and striking a downed opponent which is total UNSPORTSMANSHIP.

  • @Jandro1083 most fighting in the real world dosent seem to sportman like to me.I understand what you are saying, when I was little you used to let someone get up when you knocked them down...but its not like that anymore on the streets! now you can stomp someone when there down and thats just the way it is...

  • @v7nf Difference is MMA for example is supposed to be a sport, organized with rules and a referee. It's no the street and i say they should ban ground and pound, if it goes to the ground it should be pure wrestling/bjj from that point, no ground striking. This would make it more competitive and show who truly has more skill.

  • @Jandro1083 I couldn't disagree more. How to throw ground punches and dodge them is a field of it's own. Try again.

  • @zacktillery Do not strike a downed opponent. Basic martial arts principle, have you ever practiced martial arts?

  • @Jandro1083 That is why traditional martial arts, and excuse my disrespect, are not the dominant way to win a fight. Take judo, for example. Do you think the fight ends just because it hits the mat? No, they keep going, unlike in tournaments, mind you. Why do you think everyone rages about jiu jitsu on the internet? Because they see it as a sign of disrespect, because it SOLELY used on the ground, minus some minor techniques used in gracie jiu jitsu. Love and respect!

  • @zacktillery You do know that a well placed Judo throw will either break your hip or dislocate your shoulder which will end any real fight be default, right?

  • @Jandro1083 I'm not a keyboard warrior, but i did do judo for a couple months and mostly we learned how to fall correctly and do a few throws. I mostly learned the correct way to do a hip toss and outside leg trip in my MMA class, though. Judo is really good if you've been doing it a long time, but not good for beginners. Don't get me wrong, i love judo, but you have to be skilled to end a fight with a throw. But I digress from my point that judo goes to the ground and stays there. respect!

  • @zacktillery You do need time in ANY discipline, thing is people don't understand that you CAN'T master more than one discipline at. That's why when you see MMA fights you see average overall fighters, but even if they do "excel" in one area, they are nothing compared to someone who is an expert on that. That's why pure martial arts competitions are always more fun to watch.

  • @Jandro1083 Oh i could agree with that. :) Even though i absolutely hate TKD, i love to watch their touranments. :) I would still say that an MMA fighter would win overall though, even with just base knowledge. Love and respect!

  • @zacktillery Yeah but only very few truly dedicated MMA fighters, most of them these days are in it for fame or i dunno why cause they have no dedication lol. I hate TKD also, but like you I enjoy watching a tournament, I just find watching martial arts in their purest form like an art. That's why boxing is my favorite sport, I love muay thai also as it's the 1st martial art I fully practiced, but boxing has way more exposure this side of the planet.

  • @Jandro1083 Oh dude i LOVE boxing. I don't watch it, coincidently, but it is very fun to do itself. Muy thai is fun because I love kicking big guys legs and making them realize it's not about size. I wouldn't say a few very dedicated MMA fighters, i would say that mostly any MMA fighter, even begineers, could beat the equivalent in any martial art. Just my opinion though. Also, who is your favorite MMA fighter? Mine is Jon Jones, I liked him the moment he destroyed stephan bonner. :)

  • @zacktillery Well my 2 favorite MMA fighters are Mousasi and Bisping, I'm starting to like Jones a lot, BUT I didn't like his performance against Rampage.

  • @Jandro1083 I think v7nf was a little unfair in his/her response, however, he/she makes a point. While v7nf is correct in saying that anything goes in a street fight, I understand that you are talking about sport. Being a martial arts instructor, I can tell you there is a fairly large gap between martial arts and sport. the purpose of martial arts is not about being fair to a dishonorable opponent such as v7nf is talking about. The honor is in treating those around you with respect.

  • @Pawsthegame Exactly and when you face another martial artist there is that respect there. This means it's a competitive scene and respect in the bout, so I say there is no room for cheap stuff as ground pounding an opponent.

  • @TheKhazimula this made me rofl

  • @TheKhazimula despite the fact that jiu-jitsu and muay thai are totally different styles of fighting... jiu-jitsu is ground-game, muay thai figthers try to avoid groundgame since they're deadly on-foot. get your facts right, moron.

  • forever jiu-jitsu!

  • That open gaurd at the start was crap

  • boost their ego, because they are deficient in other areas of their life. Most people just want to have a quiet life and not have hassle. If only people were considerate and respectful of other people generally, then a lot of society's problems such as violence,, etc would definitely diminish. Respect for others comes from conditioning i.e. the family unit, good teachers, decent role models, etc. If you are conditioned to have no respect for those around you, then that is when trouble starts.

  • There's a lot of macho 'bs' surrounding fighting, especially when one is young. It is important to be able to defend oneself, but IMHO is a last resort, when all other avenues have been exhausted. Too many people abuse their training and in any conflict, it is almost the first reaction, rather than the last course of action. Fighting is generally a negative thing and can lead to unnecessary problems i.e. revenge attacks, trouble with the police, legal hassles, etc. Some people use fighting to

  • with a gun. Martial arts only has utility in civilian situations where guns aren't involved. Then one has to consider the 'reasonable' force aspect of self defense, in terms of the law, if you do defend yourself. Sometimes being taught lethal techniques (and being conditioned via practise to use them through constant training) can be a dangerous thing, as you are almost on automatic pilot in those types of situations, especially when you factor the sympathetic nervous system in the equation.

  • I think the bottom line of fighting is trying to cover as many contingencies as possible whether that be groundwork, stand-up, weapons, multiple attackers, improvising/flowing/blending (e.g. ju, aiki, etc.Obviously in a modern era with guns, things are very different and sadly martial arts I feel are almost becoming obsolete in certain worlds. i.e. in organised crime, criminals generally predominantly use guns. No martial art in the world will save you if there is distance between the assailant

  • @dronevalleykk I totally agree with you that bjj can be very useful. Any martial artist would be a fool not to incorporate the ne waza of judo, groundwork of bjj, combat sambo groundwork, greco roman wrestling, etc into their training. If you can't defend against takedowns and you have no grappling training, then you will be in big trouble against a proficient grappler in a fight. It amazes me how many traditional martial artists still don't cross train in other styles, especially groundwork.

  • Omg their protection while Kicking O_o

  • name of the song?

  • qual é o nome da musica

  • @lucasvinicius1999

no more sorrow-->Linkin Park, melhor banda 4ever

  • I would have watched but your choice of music SUCKS!

  • bunch of boy ground loving f***s

  • yeah thats correct if you want to be a real life baki hanma learn both bjj and mthai

  • Kenichi

  • that greyt-shirt woman can cut ur dick and put on ur ass if her want it :P

  • boxing is better than muay thai !

  • Mma rules

  • You fucking arrogant bastards. It's not about proving that one style is better than the other. It's about using multiple styles and having an open mind. Only then can you call yourself a true martial artist. All of this shit about muay thai being better than tkd etc. has to stop. And for all you bitches who disagree, I got two red hot deuces right here just for you t-.-t.

  • street confrontations, although I would prefer Muay Thai to bjj. The very nature of bjj groundwork is designed for 1-on-1 and this is a death sentence on the street. You lock someone and his mates beat you to death whilst you're on the floor. Does that sound effective to you? I would much prefer a combination of silat, special forces combatives (not the ranger bjj component),elements of wing chun, Iwama, Yoseikan or Yoshinkan aikido (not aikikai or Ki aikido), the tachiai daito ryu waza &

  • Muay Thai and bjj have their place in 'sport' orientated arenas, although Muay Thai is the derived sport from the true martial art 'Muay Boran', which IMHO is much more effective than Muay Thai. The reality is this, how well would bjj withstand multiple attackers on the street and likewise how would Muay Thai deal with multiple armed assailants e.g. knives, machetes, guns, baseball bats, swords, etc. Having trained in both these martial arts, the reality is they don't fare well in

  • LInkin Park<3

  • I think that no one martial art is better or the "best." It's all about the fighter. Any master of any of the art can easily defeat his rookie opponent.

  • @GottJukrapun No offense, but yes, an experienced fighter is better than a novice, that was given... But I agree don't compare.

  • jiu-jitsu is better then muay thai, the dude from muay thai may win on a standing fight, but we all from jiu jitsu are trained to put the fight down

if it happens, bye bye muay thai

  • @JXJ1326 very true thats what im saying..but style vs style still happens behind closed doors..ive seen it..and most of the time bjj wins cause striker have no takedown defense..but i have herd from a fried who saw a muy thai guys ko a bjj guy with a knee strike..

  • NO MORE SORROW

    LINKIN PARK

    MUAT THAI

  • @JXJ1326 Tell me your view. :)

  • Muay Thai destroys all other martial arts except Bjj. Even shaolin monks are learning Muay Thai because 5000 yrs of Chinese martial arts no match for thai fighting.

  • Bad example of Muay Thai. A good instructor doesn't let you hit so slow, every kick is about more speed and more penetration (means that you have to kick through the target). Where i trained the instructors always said: faster, faster, you need to be faster so you get faster and more aggressive. There's a reason why Muay Thai is considered one of the most brutal sports.

  • @21xxx21 You need to watch the video again, he clearly stated that he didn't want his students working their technique fast, he wanted them to work on the correct technique for video purposes.

  • Here's a theory. Boxing has the best punches. Muy Thai has the best kicks. Judo has the best throws. Jui Jitsu has the best ground work. Chinese styles have good opponent balance control and movement. The idea of mma is mixing the best of each discipline to make an ultimate fighter.

  • @lovefightplay Muay Thai has better knees and elbows not kicks, thats taekwondo ;)

  • Linkin Park - No More Sorrow :D

  • nice song

  • when i was little i played fight my older brother and it was totaly like that as i was the smallest one , but i could pin him like 1:31 and then he would flip me but my legs was always around him XD and i don't think i knew any martial arts then :3 i'm a girl as well :3

  • @JXJ1326 well said dude

  • what's the name of the song??

  • GOOD SONG!!!

  • 2 of my favourite martial arts =D

  • @JXJ1326 You'll never see an end to it, especially with young practioners. Their style is the only style. Acceptance and the want for learning more comes later.

  • Horrid fucking music.

  • what is the name of last song ?

  • Thumbs up if you loooooove doing burpees during training. :P

  • éguas

  • some of the technique in this video is poor.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=J0_Zxm0leBs

  • BJJ and Muay thai mixed togheter is a very dangerous mix :)

  • @MrNflow Muay-Jitsu or Muitso-ryu!!

  • lot of average joe schmoes on this vid... i can honestly say that so called "sweep" from 1:06-1:10 would NEVER work on anyone that didn't want it done to them... unless the guy on top dives over and tries to get rolled, it aint happenin, hes on bottom sideand puts his arm in between his legs begging to get crucified and just picks him up and puts him over? i wouldnt practice or preach that move

  • @JMoore4291

    They were whitebelts. :)

  • @SergeantUcarn well someone had to teach them it, shame on them lol

  • If people are thinking if Bjj or Muay Thai is better.. they need to learn Bjj is all about grappling, submissions and taking down your opponent. Muay Thai is about striking so if you want to be great, do both of them!

  • @novemberrain1994 haha thats wut sum1 told me b4 when i was doing this and kickboxing XD

  • @novemberrain1994 i agree they are totally different and both are awesome. But in a confrontation bjj will win, and probably will win fast.

    /watch?v=NkhBqZDAlYA&feature=grec_index

  • @00oPinkGirlo00 In the stand up game, probably not.. if the Bjj can take him down then yeah Muay Thai guy is finished, cause they have very little, or no ground game.

  • @novemberrain1994 i totally agree that in the stand up game bjj will lose. The brilliance of bjj is that the fighter will avoid stand up game until he can take down the other and use the submission techniques. No other fight have this advantage, you cant make your opponent fight standing up if he doesn't want to.

  • @00oPinkGirlo00 Well I would say Judo/Sambo have that advantage, but Judo has some stand up but obviously no comparison to Muay Thai I do it, and you mostly use every limb to attack. But Bjj and Judo are definatly the best, or if not the best thing to learn on the ground its hard to say which one is better. Wrestling is good too.

  • @novemberrain1994 or if u still don't believe u can watch Royce Gracie on the UFC.

  • @novemberrain1994 You can also say, do MMA ;)

  • @94BruceLee Good thinking ;) haha yeah, thats what I actually do at the moment haha, but do Jui Jitsu and Muay Thai on the side because I started them before Mma

  • @novemberrain1994 I agree, both great systems and you would be very well rounded if you trained both.

  • @novemberrain1994 BJJ is sucks!!! Original Japanese Jiu Jitsu is the best!!! Muay Thai and Japanese Jiu Jitsu are mass destruction guns!!!

  • @anld93 Wait.. I thought Jui Jitsu was from the Gracies? I knew it came from Judoka which is Judo, I think

  • @novemberrain1994 No The original Jiu Jitsu was born in Japan then Judo and Aikido appeard after that< they use some of the original technicks (throws in Judo and Aikido) only after Gracie (who learned original Jiu Jitsu) the BJJ was invented... So original Jiu Jitsu is Japanese... Here the line of born:

    1) Japanese Jiu jitsu

    2) Judo and Aikido

    3) Sambo and Hand-to-Hand Sambo) - Russian Styles

    4) Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - From Gracies

So i meant original japanese jiu jitsu connected with Muay Thai!

  • I`m sorry for my English, i am Russian and i don`t use it always!!!

  • @novemberrain1994 muay thai is shitty, jiu jitsu has it's own striking techniques and that's enough. What else do you need if you can easily take down your opponent, get him in lock and know how to hold your fist?

  • @kruz200 If Muay Thai is shitty then why is it the prefered stand up style amongst MMA fighters. Most of them train Muay Thai. All MMA schools have Muay Thai, Wrestling, and Jiu-jitsu.

  • @novemberrain1994 My opinion is Bjj is all about grapple, submission, Extreme MMA is about taking them down and striking in clinch, Muay Thai is about the power and combination between kicking and striking, Karate/Kung fu perfects the strikes as Tae Kwon Do does to kicks, If you have earned a black belt in all of these, you are truly the Ultimate fighter.

  • @crazypete3 Can't forget the Judo one taking them down from the clinch, and wrestling taking them down and keeping them down. What do you mean extreme mma? I do mma, never heard of this "extreme mma" before though haha. Mma is everything. Muay Thai is striking in the clinch with the use of elbows and knees more effectivly. Karate has a lot to do with movement too, getting out the way of strikes and blocking them. The closest to a black belt in all them would be Anderson Silva.

  • @crazypete3 the ultimate fighter doesnt need blets to measure his skill he only needs the wins to prove it

  • only felons practice martial arts.why bother doing this when you can carry a gun.

  • @tommiedepew1 Well what if someone disarms you of your gun? your fucked.

  • @novemberrain1994 you have been watching too many kung fu movies.

  • @tommiedepew1 because guns are for pussys....

  • @tommiedepew1: You don't have a gun all the time clown.

  • i dont like brasilian jiu-jitsu its to much on the floor

  • Jiu jitsu is the best martial art

  • qual nome da musica?

  • Team double dose!!!!!!!!!!!!! FTW!!!!

  • Yor actually better off with jiu jitsu moron, i bet you cant find one video on youtube where jiu jitsu loses to another martial art.

  • check out My take on the Evolution of MMA & UFC, and the fall of the Wrestler/grappler to the more skilled striker!! The breakdown of what is needed to raise the skill level of MMA Fighter.

  • song name?

  • the muay thai students look like a bunch of lumberjacks doing those kicks.

  • God I hate Gi. Its like watching grass grow.
