Yes i also own the CD, but it sounds kinda muffled compared to other live CDs i have... like it's been recorded by someone standing in the audience and not from the mics - i nearly cried when i heard it.

Maybe i'm missing something, but to me it's not so obvious that it doesn't suck.

I think Tom Waits is a good musician and that Scarlett Johanson obviously likes him as a singer too and wanted to sing this to honour him, but she doesn't realise that she won't be as good (and infact she doesn't even come close) and that she is seen as an a-list celeb who is in it only for the money.

I'm a huge fan of both Tom Waits and Bob Dylan. I have to say that Tom Waits defintely has the right idea; only plays a few shows every couple of years but his albums get better and better. Dylan plays about 150 shows a year and, man, you can kind of tell; his albums have been kind of weak for the last 30 years.
