Original.... I just love that the wife wasn't the typical sleeze and the story of Nick and his mother glued the whole thing together for me. Looked like a bunch of buds pulled together and made it happen... Character rich... Thanks for posting.
I wish the people in the restaurant had been more freaked out. Great job given the budget you probably had. I'de rather watch this than the "The Hangover 2" or some other blockbuster botch. * * * * / 5
preposterous. it's real simple for terminally ill patients to live without pain, enjoy life till theri illness kills them, and spend those precious few last months with their loved ones, three more months for them to reminisce. and that is via lots of demonized but effective opiates. a noted expert in australia and doctor said it best:: we all have to die. a relatively pain free death is a good death.. mercy killing is not brutal, murderous and painful as in this stupid movie. viewed halfvid
Well done. I only with that everyone didn't die in the end. Its almost as if the writer dug himself so deep, he couldn't think of any other way to end it. But still . . . well done.
OH. MY. GOODNESS. Man, I got tired of hearing the f-bomb like 10 minutes into the movie. Sheesh, at that point no explanation is required as to why he was swearing so much, I really don't care.
I disagree with the definition in the beginning. Behaviour detrimental to the individual? Since when has helping ever been detrimental to the individual. You actually feel better when you give, when you help and offer assistance. There have been studies that have shown that you actually feel better giving then being greedy. Money can buy happiness, but its when you give that money away, in the form of gifts or the sort. How is feeling good about giving detrimental to the individual?
Have you ever "gone out of your way" to help someone else? Or, lets put it another way. A family lives in a very very poor neighborhood. (lets think africa or perhaps the great depression). They have a limited amount of food, and run out. It is a family of, say, three -two parents and one child. The parents will give up eating to ensure the child has something to eat.
@ShikakuShukuzen Yes, I have gone out of my way to help someone else. Alturism doesn't necessarily mean that the person giving is put at a disadvantage or is not supposed to receive any benefits from the act of giving. True altruism is giving without asking anything in return. Most people give with an expectation in mind. Thats not alturism. When you ask and seek nothing in return for your action or gift.
Utter shite, but far better than anything I've made. Nick was brilliant, but the plot was shallow as hell, and cobbled together on a lark. Great independent film, Five stars
I actually really enjoyed this film :)

1:36:48 Really bad hold on that 1911.
Now that I got the gripes out of the way, this was a decent philosophical commentary.
