The theme can still be heard in some in the BK2 maps. In Sharqi Penninsula while heading up the stairs you can faintly hear this theme. Same thing in Gulf of Oman, climb to the top of the building near the swimming pool and there will be a Boombox playing this theme.

Also try out the free mods for BF2 - Forgotten Hope 2 and AIX are awesome. IMO FH2 is one of the best WWII games in terms of realistic/fun balance. You get all different weapons and vehicles in every different maps, and the damage effect is just like real.
