The rocket takes his head clean off, but the chainsaws when you're decapitated by the chainsaw guys don't? The "look closer" arguement does't hold up in Resident Evil 5, it's full of graphical shortcuts, they probably let his head out due to save an hour here. The pathing of the missiles was probably done by other people than the ones who modelled Wesker and placed him in that spesific location.The clashing of pixels made them take a shortcut, by seemingly removing his head. That's what I think

I believe the fact that Capcom plan to make RE6 a total reboot of the series confirms Wesker as being dead. The reboot of the series will bring the zombies back - BUT none of the old characters will be involved. New characters will be in place, meaning.. The old characters wont be around anymore. That is enough to tell you that Wesker is officially dead as by RE5.

That is a valid assumption, and I'm not saying you're wrong. They have indeed said that they'd reboot the series, but I say fuck that. There's still alot more I want to know, there is still a revenge I want to see acted out and so on. The whole 5th installment is a partypack of clichè's and is absolutely not a worthy end for the main characters of Resident Evil.

A good game in itself, but not a good game of the series.

I've watched that several times and, while it does appear that it takes his head off, who says the Uroboros combined with Weskers unique nature probably can be an easy enough reason to say the combination of the two let him live and burned out the inhuman look, or not, depending on which would be cooler. Of course, I stand firm that he ain't dead. He has had his heart destroyed when he was a mere mortal, so I doubt something as simple as 2 RPG's and some magma would keep someone like Wesker down

1.Wesker's return(It follows Wesker as he recovers from the blow in RE5,meanwhile washington is like racoon city infested with zombies umbrella continues reserch on viruses, BUT???? Wesker wants revenge he is to find Chris in Washington and kill him, because Chis was there ended, but Wesker is not alone he has ALEXIA with him they escaped the island)

2.Washington Disaster(Follows Chris and Claire survival through)

@AndreAkaKillua1987 Capcom officially said they killed him off....though considering his previous actions, that MIGHT be a corporate lie to stage a surprise return later...i mean really. Wesker's resilience so far has proven that even seeing him killed doesn't confirm he really is dead...i doubt some magma and a rocket to the face are gonna stop him. wouldn't be surprised if he pulled a Prototype [IE, regenerate from a scrap of DNA :P]
