the description says it's quite similar to serious sam and I am a real serious sam fan. Can you tell me if the multiplayer is also similar? Or does it even have a multiplayer? I loved rushing through serious sam maps with some friends and shooting everything that moved

Let's not even get into Dead Marsh (the tentacles! The TENTACLES!) or Air Combat (ROCKET-WEILDING ENEMIES IN NARROW CORRIDORS AAAAUGH).
i don't think any of those two will stand against each other in part 3. in the ending, belial says that "he senses someone needing him", which makes me think that they could only join in? or..?

If you see the cutscene at the start it says that "The Demon" your playing was imprison by Lucifer and that the key to the cage was locked and bound to Lucifers soul so when Daniel killed Lucifer the cage would unlock and he could take his revenge :P
Yeah, unfortuanetly, it seems like in Painkiller Ressurection, wich it will be launched this year, the storyline will not continue the trylogy (if Overdose makes a trylogy...), they just wanna put a bald CIA agent. :|

I don't know about anyone else here, but I thought overdose was really Boring. I liked the Original Painkiller, but this just sucks. What we're the developers thinking when they released this. Save your money people, there are far better games out there.
i hate the "new-wave" PC games. Bullshit that demands that you spend thousands just so you can run it. i'd rather play half life 2, painkiller, fallout, doom, quake, serious sam, proper PC games.
It is, but it lacks the novelty of the original, and if you've played the original you'll be dissapointed at the number of baddies they recycle. Another downside is the music, which, while... fitting I guess, and not outright bad in any light, is just boring. Part of what made Painkiller 1 so great was a very well put together Ambient AND Heavy Metal soundtrack. This one is just standard and droll pseudo symphonic music shoved down into the background.
The main character from the first painkiller. In the intro he mentions being trapped by the power of satan, and then that power disappearing. You kill him at the end of the first game.
I would say that Daniel Garner (main character of the original Painkiller + BooH Expansion) did it, because he was the one who managed to kill Lucifer in the regular Painkiller game (if going by the ending that plays from Daydream to Nightmare difficulties).

dissapointing final boss battle. the original painkiller's final boss was huge, i guess supposed to be satan himself or something.

yeah, or lucifer as hes called in the games. i think this one sucked, it wasnt intense enuf, no lighting effects and bad music choice.

The original final boss in Painkiller is named Lucifer. The game even tells you in the card unlocking requirements.

It is, but it lacks the novelty of the original, and if you've played the original you'll be dissapointed at the number of baddies they recycle. Another downside is the music, which, while... fitting I guess, and not outright bad in any light, is just boring. Part of what made Painkiller 1 so great was a very well put together Ambient AND Heavy Metal soundtrack. This one is just standard and droll pseudo symphonic music shoved down into the background.

The main character from the first painkiller. In the intro he mentions being trapped by the power of satan, and then that power disappearing. You kill him at the end of the first game.

I would say that Daniel Garner (main character of the original Painkiller + BooH Expansion) did it, because he was the one who managed to kill Lucifer in the regular Painkiller game (if going by the ending that plays from Daydream to Nightmare difficulties).
