I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this but it almost looks like you've got everything to turn it from the nix, back to the standard providence, except for with the updated paint scheme, which should help with some of the "awkwardness" if that doesn't work for you.

I must say, I really like the colors of this kit. It may not look great, but it did give me ideas on some custom colors for a few kits I'm planning to paint. So it's not all bad. Plus I like his face.

I'd have to say this is the best looking suit from the entirety of the Seed series'. The only problem I have with it aesthetically is those big, cone-like dragoons on the hips and shoulder... And maybe the backpack.

I'm not fan of Seed by any means, for many reasons, but this suit really stands out among the very overall bland design of suits in Seed (in my opinion).

I happen to think it looks good. In its Nix configuration, not as good as the original providence, but good none the less. As just the recolored version of theoriginal Providence, a tie at the least, but maybe better. Who's to say?

@zodiaccurse12 It actually really isn't that tough. You should be able to able to put together the remaining unused pieces and rubber joints, while referencing some original providence gunpla pics. I did mine without much trouble. I can put up some pics for you if you want.

What are you guys talking about this gundam looks bad ass, Sure the armor parts are placed weird, but thats the key word here weird. Its the usual and weird things that make stuff cool, Take Destiny's 4th intro opening, that was really an unexpeccted song, and we didnt like it at first but eventually it grew on us.

All i can say is, your stupid, this Gundam looks awesome, its different which is something that we dont see often. The model might not be perfect but the idea is.

@XINKAI Look, i know that the "haters" of the design really went all out on it, but don't proclaim them as stupid, cuz it's what we call "preferences". Heck, i didn't like the design, but at least i didn't bash it. Oh and "Wings of Words" still sounded weird to me, but of course it's also a matter of preferences, isn't it?.

Anyway, nice review Prime. Your review changed my impressions of the VS ASTRAY kits... except Nix.. .

it depends on what gundam serie your watching, if your watching Wing Gundam or G Gundam, evagelion is a lot better, but Zeta, Seed or 00 are better than Evagelion

Anyway, I have the original and I love the way it looks. Very intimidating.

But side by side with the Legend, I definitely prefer the look of the Legend over Nix. I'd prefer ANYTHING over Nix! xD

I find it good.. especially when the shield rifle sword thingy is in the hands.. kind of reminded me of the gladiators or spartans having their huge shields on their (almost) shoulder and sticking out a sword or a spear/lance out..

I thought the Nyx thruster pack looked pretty nice on the Gale Strike, what I thought of doing was taking the backpack, and just combine it with the Gale strike...if the beam rifle is removable.

I actually like this better than the original. I think they designed it to be more suited for ground combat and added 360 protection.

Nix Providence's backpack (called Dragoon Striker) can apparently be detached and used like the other dragoons, making it the 12th dragoon I suppose.

But seriously the idea of doing part swapping into such unsymmetrical design is rather... Shocking.

come to think of it, there isn't a lot of MS with unsymmetrical designs, the one that comes to mind is the NU gundam but it wouldnt be as side heavy as this one

It probably would have looked better if they turned it into a detachable shield rather than a shoulder unit. It impedes the joint, so it would need some more modifications to the articulation before it can be considered better.

I can't beleive how much armaments they pack on to this MS. Very good detail work on the panel lines. I'm suprised how flexible this kit is,lol. 5 Stars as always.
