actually your octave ear needs a little work - the note is a G5, which would be the 15th fret of the high E string.

ya know what happened? I was counting octaves from my 7th string as my 6th so I ended up on 6. Then I heard it an octave high anyways so I ended up on 7(Which is 8 in guitar because the way it transposes). I fucked that up about as hard as i could of!

James got food poisoning while on a vacation in Cuba and ended up rupturing his vocal cords while puking.

It took him years to recover which is while most of his live performances between the "Change of Seasons album" and their DVD "Score" he wasn't all that good to listen too live.

If anyone has a question on his vocal ability. Watch their DVD "Score" and that should answer your questions. He is absolutely incredible and puts in an almost flawless performance.

Actually this was one of those pre-LTE shows. They are trying to debut Paradigm Shift in almost half of their 1998 tour since the album was just in the mixing process...

Try to listen to JP's solo on the Once in a Livetime cd,there are samples of Paradigm shift there with Jordan jumping on the keys to play it with him.

When he goes from D4 to D5, he is singing in chest voice, but he is belting / screaming b/c it's out of his range on this day or he is voice is worn out. Then he bends it up to G5 using mixed voice. I think he is using head voice when he hits the G5.
