the mic problem- it could be a little bit of acoustic feedback. im not sure where you have your microphone located, but you might want to try to either move the mic away from the guitar, or maybe move it more towards your mouth a little more. good luck fixing that problem though. i can't tell on this side hahaha

Hey sweet! in concern of the mic issues try getting an AKG 820 or I use a Sontronicks Halious which are around the £450 mark. I'm not sure what that is in dollars. usb mics are great but you are then only using your internal sound card in your lap top, or whatever you use. You will then need to get an interface which you can plug in separate lines to e.g your guitar and using the fantom power in put for your mic. You then could go all the way by getting some recording software like logic! x x
