Just watched this again and it's great.I said below that i have it on Edison NT and was mistaken,it was "Liza" by B.A. Rolfe.I do have the George Olsen version of "Mona".
Richardson appeared in a number of Wm. Fox musicals during this period. He figures prominently in this musical, as does Dixie Lee, J. Harold Murrey (another distinguished serious singer) Janet Gaynor/Charles Farrell, and many more. Richardson also plays a role in antoher Fox musical that was produced by B.G. de Sylva, that features the song "Turn on the Heat" He dropped out of sight in the late '30's.
Wow...what a wonderful, danceable tune...i play it 3-4 times a day...(my 20's high). Frank Richardson had a great voice..did he sing solely with George Olsons band? Thanx for this...loved it. jvb

Thanks for this.I have 78s by "Columbia Photo Players"and thought it had a US sound.I know Ambrose also recorded this in 1930.

I like the 'Leslie Stuart-esque' minstrel backing!. He belts this one out good and proper!. Love the band build up and the dancing.
