If anything, he's one of thoses standing knee-deep in the flood, piling musical sandbags on the levee trying to stanch the tidal wave of crap Nashville puts out today. He's always been very respectful of our country music forefathers (and mothers) and tries to do them justice.

Lady Down on Love, Why Lady Why, There's No Way and Love in the First Degree are absolute classic love songs. What gets me is todays country singers all seem like posers or plastic.
