  • I really like the livery as it suits the Surfliner train and the F59PHI's nicely.

  • @EWS60008 Yeah, its a very sharp looking paint scheme

  • well let me know when you get ready to sell it :)

  • @ntrlcknproductions Hahaha, will do! But I wouldn't recommend holding your breath for it.....LOL!!!

  • Were did you get the cars?

  • @ntrlcknproductions This is a brass set from Overland that I found on ebay. I have seen only individual cars posted up there since then (very rarely I might add), and I bought this entire thing as a set. Minus the second loco which is an standard Athearn plastic model.

  • OMG where did you get the surfliner cab cars?! I got 3 surfliner coaches from Walthers that don't have any "Surfliner" words on them! Fyi I have two of the Atherarn Amtrak Pacific Surfliner engines though #463 and #454.

  • @Taipei127 That's cool! I have 3 F59PHI's, all have DCC, but 2 have sound. It's rare, but occassionally the brass stuff does show up on ebay

  • Nice one dude. Where did you get the Surfliner equiptment?

  • Thank you! I found it on ebay from a store called Red Canyon Trains.

  • I understand that these are expensive. I just would love to know where these are sold. Anything helps.

    -Brian

  • Yeah, this set was VERY expensive. The most that I have ever paid for any train (one car costs more than most of my entire freight consists)! YIKES!!!!

Actually, check out unionstationproducts(.)com They are making Surfliner kits now and they look pretty darn good!

  • Ok, I'll check it out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

  • Incase you didn't know, a model train company is making the Superliner Phase I cars into the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Paint Scheme. They are around 50 bucks, but there not available yet. (They are HO Scale, too!)

  • @pwhite73 E A DOUBLE DECKER ACELA

  • @gtasandman Huh?

  • @pwhite73 u now the acela it look like it in a way f rep typo

  • @gtasandman Oh, gotcha. Yeah, but the funny thing is this train is a diesel electric and on the other side of the country from the Acela. I see what you mean though, I just think its funny since they are so far from each other, yet they do have some similarities.

  • @pwhite73 yes

  • Nice! 5 Stars!

  • Thank you!!!

  • where did u get 'em?

  • Ebay. I got the brass stuff from Red Canyon Trains on ebay, and I got the other loco (#458) from a train store in Fullerton.

  • its so....shiny and clean

  • Ha ha, yeah. Being that its brass, I'm not brave enough to weather it. Maybe if some come out in plastic I would, but I think these are gonna stay "New"

    LOL, thanks!!!

  • will they break if they fall from height? at least 1ft...or more

  • Probably, but Iim not brave enough to try that either. Ha ha!!!

They are very sturdy, so I don't know how much damage there would be, but there are a bunch of small details that would break.

  • great detail!

  • Thanks!!!

  • So great!

  • Thank you sir!

  • NICE!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Oh yeah Brother!

  • very scenic!

  • Thanks, yeah the detail on this layout is amazing! All the credit though belongs to my friends, I've been learning from them.

  • what sound chip do you have in that engine?

  • They both have LokSound decoders in them and are programmed with the sound file for an F59PHI with a K5LA horn.

  • where ya get the cars

  • I actually found the entire set (5 cars and 1 engine, engine #458 is an athearn that I already had) on ebay! I got it from a company called Red Canyon Trains.

  • Those Surfliners are really nice!

  • Thank you, I appreciate it!

  • do you live in california?

  • Yep, Orange County.

  • What about you?

  • Yup, California

  • Cool, are you going to the NMRA convention?

  • How do you put two locomotives together and run at the same time?(i have a dcc system,Bachmann)

  • how long r those cars?

  • In real life they are 85' long. In HO scale they are almost 1 foot long.

  • Where did you get those Surfliner Cars?

  • I got them on ebay from Red Canyon Trains. Not cheap, but very unique and very cool! LOL!

  • And they seem to be very well worth it. Thanks!

  • Thank you!

  • nice !!!!!!

  • Thank you! Have you seen the others yet? I've got a bunch on here.

  • what # is the loco?

  • The brass loco that is leading is #452, and the plastic one at the other end is #458.

  • Okedoky.I think the metrolink surfliner meet video was the best.

  • Thanks, I really like that one too!!

And so does my brother, since his is the Metrolink. LOL!!

  • cool!

  • Ha Ha!! Thank you very much! I hope you enjoy this and many of my other Surfliner vids!
