hi, i have to thank you alot, because in school my art teacher told us to find and indepent artist, and have a look at the way they draw there pictures and then draw one like the way they did, in this case i chose you because these are fantastic drawings! so i drawed a picture a little like this, and you've inspired me, keep up the good work :D

deeper darks, you really want hard contrasts, the big dude, straighten his weapon, the handle is going one direction while the blunt of the weapon is going another, i really do like the hand on the light saber, but again, his hand and the handle are pointing different directions, and the bottom of his hand looks like it's merged with the bottom of the handle, also don't be afraid to look at pictures of things like clothing and body position as reference.

One word of advice; if you want to make a great career out of Art, don't always draw cartoon pictures. Not only does it force you to take on more difficult aspects of drawing, but it also helps market yourself to potential clients if they see that you can really draw realistic beings too. Anatomy of humans/humanoids is probably one of the most difficult things, and if you spend more time practicing realistic drawings, you will go father in your art career. I'm not trying to bash anime art...

I hate to be that guy right now, but I can't help but mention one thing. In the video you comment that the hard part was coming up with designs for the characters based on a verbal description. While you definately added your own stylization...these characters appear to be mostly lifted in design from the Fujimora Pantsu intro that someone put together (Bui and Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho as the reference characters).

Honestly, it pisses me off that people think that everyone on the planet has a full widescreen monitor. I don't like how ridiculously wide that looks, so I don't buy them. I'm using an 8:5 (16:10, 1440x900) and a 4:3 (1600x1200).

Not everyone has 16:9, not everyone has Windows, not everyone is a conformist little sheep. If you do widescreen because you want to, fine, but don't you sit there and assume that "oh if I do 4:3 everyone sees black bars".

YouTube even has a guide section on video uploading dedicated to why you should not add black bars (or any other bars) to videos just to change the aspect ratio, because the player handles that natively, and otherwise you end up windowboxing the video for all but the "chosen" ratio.

At least these sidebars are functional, with links/info. I could accept that ONLY if the author did it for that reason, and not to change the ratio.
