  • me encanta este video igual que la cancion :)

  • I hate that I can't turn the volume up any higher. This song needs to be louder! LOUDER!

  • I wanna listen to this while on pot

  • Excellent song. Who needs a glitzy video? Rather watch these guys have fun to a great song instead of some Hollywood NYC MTV video sht.

  • @stratwz A blank screen will do as long as the music is good......

  • 1:21 he felt like he _should_ be slapped

Mainstream rock music hasn't really progressed or changed very much in the last umpteen years has it?

  • Rob Dickinson. Looks and talent running deep in that family.

  • The black keys

  • Missing the 90's a lot!

  • Remember I was here. Thai 6:41PM 11/30/2011

  • I lived over seas for the 90's and never heard them until recently. I love them!

  • I totally get the video.

  • obviusly this is the censored for USA

  • Underrated band.

  • Awesome song and an awesome crazy video!

  • I remember when this caught my ear when it was played on the WARP. I miss WARP.

  • I'm in . The reason for that is: These bands are just too good .

  • Great band, great song, dorky video.

That's okay, though. Nothing wrong with a dorky video.

  • why is everyone bitching about the video seems trippy as fuck to me.

  • jesus stance at 1:10 :)

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I always felt so bad for the dumb sh*t their record company made these guys do (especially Rob haha) in these videos. Never did their songs justice (except for Waydown maybe, which caught many of our young teen eyes back then).

This is one of the best songs ever and was always so much fun to see/hear live. Will love it when I'm 90!

  • Nossa Muitooooooo boa esta musica antiga mas ainda me lembro quando eu dançava ela naquele retrooooooo

  • Love this song man been looking for it for years!!!

  • I've re-discovered Catherine Wheel after a ten year absence. It's amazing how this album is still ahead of its time.

  • underrated!

  • i get a high off this song. I cant explain the chill i get.

  • Haha me and my dad was listening to this and he was like I wonder what it means. I told him Crank was a drug and he look shocked. lol amazing song!

  • this song never gets old to me

  • with a few minor edits this could be Krang's theme song

  • good song; really cheesy video

  • great song

  • if only youtube wasnt such lames i would upload this in louder quality. its weird whena fan has a louder/better version of the video than the damn band itself. get the fuck with it youtube. jesus.

  • Yep. Great song. Got turned onto in just a couple of years on Pandora. This one's around for a while. Nice to see the band in the video.

  • Yep. Great song. Got turned onto in just a couple of years on Pandora. This one's around for a while.

  • A wonderful mix of alt-rock and shoe gave. I agree CW was definitely underrated.

  • I love this band! So underrated.

  • Tell you what, I'll take the music from 85-95 anytime!

  • Stop with the gay ass ads! No one cares about Mona. I just want to listen to Catherine Wheel!

  • Catherine Wheel - a little slice of rock heaven. so damn good

  • I love it everytime he says CRANK, MY CONSCIENCE CLEAR!!!

  • Way cooler than a lot of American rock bands of the 1990s that dominated the charts when record stores, MTV, magazines, & radio stations gave the boot to a lot of English, Euro, and other bands from around the world. Between the late 1980s and up through the late 1990s we had crappy American bands shoved down our throats. Im not saying all US bands were terrible I did like some but most of them stunk even though MTV shoved it in our faces 24/7 along with fake and phony so called reality shows.

  • so, so, so good.

  • This is just in and out pure ecstasy, or meth if you prefer haha

  • This is just in and out pure ecstasy, or meth if you prefer haha

  • please reunite.

    #@!

  • Reminds me of my sweet Melanie Jo Goodman and Oklahoma City in 1996!!

I dont know what ever happened to her but Thank you Melanie for turning me on to this kickass band!!

    Im still lookin for you.-Joe

  • ohh the 90's how i miss you soo much, high school, music, the girls....and the clintons

  • vevo you suck ass, everyone always mutes your commercials

  • Coolest thing about the video is Rob's Strat Plus. I want one. Fucking great song though!

  • Why didn't they try to crank out another hit! And the guy from hinder sounds like him!

  • their videos are all awful

  • @larrymyclown

lol - totally. I don't know why video directors in the 90s needed to create these huge dumb stories with all these characters. Their music is dark & vivid as it is and so the videos shoulda just been dark and people-less. :)

  • @jtorin76 Because it would have gone against the MTV against drugs to have a good video for a song that is about CRANK which is METH.

  • @larrymyclown You said it !

  • nice shi77y commercial before the song

  • that's it i'm stabbing the ceo of yahoo.

  • one of the best songs of the 90s. and i have excellent taste.

  • the ad ruined it.

  • a chrome protection...

  • Horrible video. Excellent Song.

  • @Unlockedgrooves Indie band.Not so indie video,but stylish.What u want,a Maroon 5 vid?

  • @Unlockedgrooves Ha ! My thoughts exactly !!!! I was just thinking that, scrolled down and there was your comment top of the list...Synchronistic !! I really dug this song years ago-this video doesn't do it justice !

  • @Unlockedgrooves I second that. What a crap, junior-high styled video. It ruins a gloriously great tune.

  • @huskyjerk What't important? The band and the song, or TV candy for the masses. Take guitar lessons.

  • @stratwz You are hinting that you may have bad taste. You understand?

  • @huskyjerk My B.A. is in Radio/TV, done video. I'm a working musician over 40 years. If you think the video is anywhere as important as the song and the band, like I said, head back to MTV. The video is a priority why? And if I'm listening to Catherine Wheel, do I have bad taste?

  • @stratwz Ok....I don't doubt your expertise. However, I am from the school of thought that, if you are a musician, your video needs to match the artistic quality of the song. Hence, a wonderful song deserves a great video. And this is a wonderful song. By the way, I love Black Metallic. Can't get enough of that. It's video? Just ok. I see your point of priorities. Still, I would want my heroes to reflect a proper quality in all they do. Here, I think the boys failed.

  • Doesn't get much better than this...

  • Underrated band....

  • actually, if anyone sucked it would have to be nirvana... one of the most way overated bands of the 90's. i ask you to really listen to their music, not much there. on the other hand catherine wheel was overlooked and did not receive much air play as i recall too bad because musically speaking they blew the shit out of nirvana. as for coldplay, they're a great band also just a different kind of music

  • most horrid video for a wonderful song

  • @kingorbit

this video is no good, but there was another one to not finding it anymore though

  • I love the song; didn't quite connect with the video. Great band: Saw them way back when 1998 (Toronto).

  • wicked. are they still aruond?

  • @jodymanic Ofiicially no they are broken up rob dickinson is doin solo tours...

  • It seems Coldplay, Nivana, and Catherine Wheel, became a band to make good music, not to just make money and get famous. Hooray for this great band!

  • @117Giles Coldplay blows.

  • @117Giles Yep, except for Coldplay and Nirvana.

  • Perfect album. Except for "Show Me Mary".

  • OMG...the guy with long beard and suspenders looks just like me!

  • @PurpleSausage oh fuck off !!! VEVO is great !!!

  • Awesome song but the video is bloody awful.

  • All of you Catherine Wheel and shoegazing fans, hear me! we need to start to share this rare and glorious sound to the rest of the world! seriously, it's a fucking shame that these guys are not as famous as Muse, green day, metallica, iron maiden or AC/DC! so lets start new shoegazing wave! share and tips this to anyone who like good and loud guitars with awesome lyrics! who is with me?

  • I am with you!!

I haven't listened to them in a while. I was a massive fan in the early 90s, saw them twice in Toronto. I feel guilty for not keeping up with them.

  • @4242424242lol

    love the idea

  • Bring back 'the wheel' !

  • jangle jangle jangle :p

  • Honestly, worst video ever - fuking ruins the song.

  • joe rogan?

  • This song still blows me away after all these years....(the Catherine Wheel had such an open, euphoric sound that seemed to be lacking in other rock music). It was and still is like tapping into another realm every time I hear it............Sonic eargasm.

  • LOVE

  • Members of Interpol and Death Cab For Cutie both admitted to Catherine Wheel's Rob Dickinson that their bands probably wouldn't exist if it weren't for Catherine Wheel's album Chrome.

    @alternapop

  • I like today's Indie bands but they are just not as great like this old skool stuff. Music back then was a lot better.

  • I love this song.

  • It's Steve MacDonald. Ha!!!

  • woooo whos tweaked??

  • love this song so much

  • buen video ojala vuelva esta banda algun dia.

  • I love this track. The video is so awful though. Srsly. Wtf?

  • this guy is abssessed with skin fuck ! hes all way talkin about it lol

  • yes is a great song i like it

  • the early and mid 90s.... such a confusing time where everyone was inquistive about the future... filled with angst, confusion, and discernment- trying to find an identity & feeling that society was trying to encompass them to fit into a majority. flash foward to a present time where people are gnawing to fit into a standard.

thats what comes to mind with this song.

  • @pdiaz111 more true than u know good band though......it was a muddy time the 90s were...

  • Rolling Stone is a glorified bird cage liner

  • the best!!

  • great song.. his eyes are freaking me out... blink!!

  • Fantastic band who in a just world should have been massive.

No other way to describe it....the masses are thick!!

  • i agree with toddzillza1794, this is an under-rated classic.......post this track on your FB page

  • song simply never ever gets old in my mind.

  • @toddzilla1794 Total agreemant

  • LOL Rob pictured myself dyin in an elevator.........i agree with all 6 of ya.........

Miss these guys i have all their albums

know 95% by heart Music was great again for alittle while anyway.......we have to wait til 2021 for great music again

  • The biggest problem with Catherine Wheel is that you need to own the cd, the sound is so dense that it just isn't the same listening to it in youtube or on the computer in general. Overall epic song, wonderful sound, though Strange Fruit is still my favorite from Chrome

  • @TimmyOswald: Right, when I think of this song, I am used to hearing it on a big system so the guitars are crushing, which is why they stand out to me versus other melody-forward (uhm...wimpy...) Britpop bands. Here this sounds like a polite commercial-friendly, vocals-in-front mix.

  • @TimmyOswald : Agreed!

  • @TimmyOswald This is true. The guitars especially have a rich, saturated sound that can only be appreciated fully with the CD or at least FLAC's or something. Doesn't hurt to have a nice system to push the sound either. Unfortunately in this era of shitty audio standards (128kbps mp3's, dear God), bands that took the time to develop an ear pleasing sound and produce their albums well will not be appreciated fully.

    Weak sauce.

  • They cut out the crucifixion scene when he is on the catherine wheel.

  • @latinboy906 i realized that too. thought that was the interesting part of the video.

  • An all-time classic. <3

  • the best album to not make Rolling Stone's greatest of the 90's

  • @gyrick1

If I owned an album from Rolling Stones' best of ANYTHING, I might question myself.

  • @gyrick1 Agree 100%!!!

  • @gyrick1 Who gives a sh*t what Rolling stone Magazine thinks ! Remember what Frank Zappa said about them: A magazine from people who can't write for people who can't read.

  • @jamo387 Could'nt agree more my friend. rolling stone sucks!

  • @gyrick1 Best album period! It's in my all time top 5.

  • @gyrick1 And one of the few actual good songs of the early 90s as well. Too much CRAP was worshiped by major magazines and MTV back then. They didn't like anything that actually sounded cool or deep. Though the grunge movement of the early to mid 90s sounded deep it was rather flat, uninspiring, and overly dark. Grunge to me sounded like they were trying way too hard to compete with European & Australian Alternative rock. What in the 1990s a lot of American bands tried to pretend to be.

  • @gyrick1 Fuck Rolling Stone.

  • @gyrick1 some bands in the 90's were stepped over. What a shame I can name several that should have been playing stadiums instead of small clubs like this band. I miss the 90s alternative scene.

  • @Ferminator08 u r 100% correct cheers 4 that statement

  • this band rocks / fills in the void of my collection of cds of masters of rock !!!

  • Great song.
