Just FYI, Cubby received his Canine Good Citizen certificationg through AKC at 12 months of age and THIS kind of training helped him get it....He is a wonderful, well loved, happy dog who loves everyone he meets. Like I said, you don't know what you are talking about!

Why does it seem cruel to make them wait? It teaches them patience AND it lets them know that YOU are the "alpha dog"... not them. Which is very important.

That's awesome! Cubby is now almost 2 years old (he will be 2 in May 2009). My Coco is blind now (totally) due to a condition called SARDS. She is still hunting for her food in the same way and Cubby is still patient & waits his turn! LOL
