Ok I get the fact that different styles have different punches some more effective than others. The 90lb Chinese guy is never going to out punch a 200lb boxer. Then again you could attribute their muscle mass to their training styles as well. A boxer packs on big muscle where a kung fu fighter might go for more lean arobic muscle.
this testing is stupid. all the guys are different sizes... and im pretty sure a taekwondo fighter with the same stature as a karate fighter CANNOT punch as hard.
Kung Fu punch?!!? thats not Jeet Kune Do punch, which has been previously proven the superior punch... and mass and weight does affect it... imagine if it was such a trained fighter such as Bruce who would have had the strongest punch easily... science may have the book smarts, but the common sense is no where to be found!
I do not like the punching test because it is not accurate. All those guys are different sizes. This affects the punching force. Reason we have eight classes.
So..his legs will be magically hardened against kicks vs a scrub boxer? Lowkicks will end you if you don't know how to deal with them, and everything a boxer learns has nothing to do with that.
@RuVe2 mass does factor into the power of a punch because of the amount of energy need to move the arm is greater, which translates into more energy transferred into dummy.
scientific method requires a control or constant in order to be valid. there where different guys doing different martial arts, and unless you have a robot that can do all the styles within the same physical limitations then all this proves is that the boxer was stronger and maybe had better form.
They forgot something here, there are people up in mountains trying in these combat sports that no one knows about, but can probably KO every one of these guys. They based it on world champions the real champions don't fight for fame, they train and they never stop, just saying. But these guys are amazing
@CHRISTIANSOLDIER101 I think a boxer taking a real Knee too from a professional Muay Thai fighter like Menchor too would be devastating. Boxing has its place in combat sports, but it's really a limited combat system.
And as we see from teh "Scientific" standpoint? Most dangerous is the THai Boxer.
I would just like to say one thing about low kcik and boxers, if boxers don't work on indurance with kicks to strengthn their legs then a low kick would be a HUGE supprise and do more damadge then one would think....... nice video i rank it with a pie :-)
some style require more strenght but like one person say let one of them do all of their tricks. if u gonna compare kung fu skinny guy on a punch wiht a boxer 5 times his weight well haha he got fast arm and alot of weight so is gonna be obvious. but let boxer try a punch like a kung fu style or mua thay. btw i like muay thai. and i got this video on my laptop srry 4 my bad english.
Do some of you guys think that boxers are oblivious to other arts? Many of us were well versed in street fighting, and got into boxing later. We know that people will throw kicks, grapple us, and do joint locks. And many of us know how to avoid them, or use them. We just prefer boxing because it is what we are versed at. Same as karate, jujitsu, kung-fu,etc. I've seen muay-thai guys get beat by street brawlers, and karate black belts get whooped by golden-gloves champs. It's the fighter...
That's a reductionist Ideology. Somebody using techniques based on poorly developed, impractical theories is less likely to win/survive than someone using practical, realistic techniques.
@vincent8er You see, you promised to not get into spamming or responding to my post, but you did.....................that's why I owned your ass, dummy!

@vincent8er An elbow? Have you ever trained in your life? That's nonsensical? Come in with an elbow and then kick? Damn! OK, I don't wanna argue either..............never mind!
@vincent8er You don't have to close the distance. A smart fighter will wait on an opportunity. That opportunity is usually to eat a leg kick to throw your straight right. Lesnar did it to perfection to drop Mir in their first fight.
That technique that the so called ninjutsu martial artist used is well known in the martial arts world called a heart break shot. It's no secret super ninja move. All you gotta do is use a long straight or a punch with your lead fist when your upper body is turning from a twisted position, like lets say after a slip, a long straight/hook/overhand/uppercut, back to a regular position while targeting the center of the chest.
not to e rude r interfere r whatever but i do boxing and its a lot of fun im 14 while while bro is 20 and he does jensu yet i can still beat him but not by a long shot its pretty much over once im put in a submission move because they r deadly if used correctly and thats 1 thing karate has better then boxing but if i hit him he will have server damage ive been it karate 4 almost 6 yrs and hes been in jensu 4 only 3 but still considered around an even match.

Men dont kick cause men have nuts. if your kicking down there you could hit them, witch would not be respected not to mention gay. Also who whats to KO by charlie horse. Stand in front slip bob and weave KO punches.
and some say that first comes the brain signal then the move but i don't totally agree with that cuz before the signals the muscles prepare for the movement....it's about high speed reactions that the brain hasn't the enough time to calculate....and as for the boxer's leg thing the atack it's launched at the most boxers on the ankle because the ankle supports the most body wheight....if the ankle collapses the victim falls in a matters of seconds...but are some boxers that are higly train:)

I think the best combination would be muay thai and BJJ Im allready doing muay thai and its really awesome for kick, punching, elbow and knie techniques in my opinion ists the best fighting art and BJJ would be great for grappling techniques
DAMN! After watching this I felt like I just got my ass kicked by these guys! I mean, shit, these guys could put you in the damn hospital, or worse! All that power! Wow!
In my opinion Boxing is better than Muay because muay thai fighters do not train their punch properly , they train elbows , kicks and knees most and the boxer only train his punches , so if a MT fighter trade kicks with an boxer he would win but in matter of punches , boxe wins
just stop the bullshit. no fightin style makes u fast u make your self faster a fighting style may make u hit harder but u can even make ur self hit way harder by trainin for that style in my opinion any style that fights a boxer just boxeing rules would lose thats something if you do not agree on then am sorry you do not know fighting 1 punch from boxein is like hittin u with a sledge hammer but boxeing is the best puncher because they train so much for punches but they also need a lot of stam
Yeah a boxer would kill a muay thai fighter if it was just boxing, I don't deny that. I was just replying to bobolandi who said muay thai practitioners don't train their punch properly. We do train it properly, just not to the extent of a boxer, because we spend time doing a lot of other stuff. Boxing is an amazing form, don't get me wrong.
Best thing is that the guys training taekwondo isn't the most ideal type of takewondoka. Also the karateka hits like street thug. it's mostly from the type of person. I know many guys in karate that are better wrestlers than avarage karateka. I also know guys who can hit harder than usual, but their legs don't work as good. It depens of the person.
ahhh good old fashion boxing, no doubt it's worth a knockout if all you do is work on the fist. not that i think the other martial arts aren't devastating too. it just makes too much sence that boxing gets those results.
well of course muay uses more then just the fist.
however even though boxing isn't as graceful as other marital art, it's one that's effective in sport and in a real fight. of course i like muay thai as well and it looks amasing but i've never seen muay thai done in a real fight only in sport so it's hard for me to say it's an effective fighting style, which it could be. you can debate if you wish but i'm only giving my opinion. i favor both fighting styles, but have witnessed boxing.
everyone thinks that muay thai is just about kicks and elbows and knees one of the most important if not the most important is punching... the original art of muay boran is the ancient art and they were more concentrated on deadly kicks and knees and elbows. However what muay thai has turned into today as a ring sport it focuses MUCH MUCH more on punching. You people who are saying "OMG A BOXER WOULD KILL MUAY THAI" or other way around are just ignorant because it depends on the person.
I have trained boxing for 6 years and have trained muay thai for about 2 years. I have incorporated my punching and weaving style into muay thai and that is my preferred style. I think Muay Thai would be the closest to the most mixed martial art standup wise without actually going into MMA, which i also train on a regular basis.
Yea all the knockout artists in the MMA have Muay Thai or Boxing background. Like GSP or Silva. Boxing give you the perfect punching technique which you can adapt into any fight style. And muay thai checking and striking is so effective.

It depens of the person.

yeah i know that's why i said sport or a real fight, as in self defense.

ahhh good old fashion boxing, no doubt it's worth a knockout if all you do is work on the fist. not that i think the other martial arts aren't devastating too. it just makes too much sence that boxing gets those results.

muay thai would kill a boxer not literilly

well of course muay uses more then just the fist.
however even though boxing isn't as graceful as other marital art, it's one that's effective in sport and in a real fight. of course i like muay thai as well and it looks amasing but i've never seen muay thai done in a real fight only in sport so it's hard for me to say it's an effective fighting style, which it could be. you can debate if you wish but i'm only giving my opinion. i favor both fighting styles, but have witnessed boxing.

for one thing you cant use boxing in a real fight beacuse you will go to jail unless its for self defence and streetfightning is whats that called

everyone thinks that muay thai is just about kicks and elbows and knees one of the most important if not the most important is punching... the original art of muay boran is the ancient art and they were more concentrated on deadly kicks and knees and elbows.
