How come the 2 acceleration sections sound different? The first one has a higher note to it and what sounds like blow off from the turbo while the second is deeper and no blow off.

I read the same thing on Eurotuner & other sites. "Why did AWE Tuning choose 2.5 inch and not 3.0 inch diameter for their MK5 exhaust? The first prototypes of this system were indeed 3.0 inch, but they found that the effort it took to move the large mass of air in the 3.0 inch system at lower rpms resulted in a loss of torque with very little offsetting gain up top" (AWE). I was looking at Eurojet but dont want to pay $600 for muffler since I'm keeping the 2.5" piping.

Nope, the spacer was still installed. You can't hear it because the camera was mounted on the rear hatch.

I had this same exhaust on my 06 Gti. I actually ended up selling the car to ECS soon after I installed it because I hate the hollow noise the exhaust generated. You guys did a great job accentuating the raw raciness of it, I actually was getting kind of misty eyed missing my steed. Great video work and sweet car!
