Silkie chicken having a dust bath

I tried taking a bath like this once, but when I was finished I was dirtier than before! Go figure!

I think its fun to watch chickens take thier dust baths, they seem to love it, it relaxes them, I really like the Black Frizzle rooster, he wanted to be in the video, :D

My 9 month old Americaunas do this all the time! I think it's totally gross, but it keeps them happy! My 2 show Silkies roll around in their cage in the wood shavings! CHICKIES RULE!!!!

Dust bathing, I freaked out when I first saw my chickens doing it, I thought they were having seizures :/

But they do it to clean their fluff/feathers of mites and other nasties
