Ubuntu One is like having a free 2GB thumbdrive that lives on the internet. Programs can read/write bookmarks, files, application settings, etc. You can manually copy any file you want to onto your Ubuntu One account. These files and settings and everything on it can be shared accross multiple machines just by putting in your username and password for your Ubuntu One account.
