Hear your parents out before you disregard what they say. Consider what their concerns are and talk to them about everything. Learn to ride safe: Start small, take a MSF, LEARN SLOW, wear gear(jacket, helmet, gloves minimum), and ride in your comfort zone. Remember that no matter what you do or say, motorcycles are very dangerous. Maybe waiting a while is a good idea, maybe it is ok to get one soon, but either way, LISTEN to your parents, bud, and STAY SAFE!

There's no traffic lights or cars and trucks whose drives that can kill you in motocross. I understand you can ride a motorcycle, and that's a good start, but don't get false confidence. Riding on the street is an entirely different animal. Basketball and volleyball use the same type of ball for the respective sport, but they are entirely different. I'm saying you need to learn about the roads, not about the motorcycle.

Idk what I did with that first sentence lol. Just go about it safe, bud, and don't think you are a good rider because of your past experience(I'm not insulting). Respect the road, and pay attention, because there's drivers out there who aren't paying attention, and they will be playing with your life, so YOU need to make up for THEM. Like I said before though, just sit down and talk with your parents, explain everything to them. Have a good one man, and, again, STAY SAFE :)!

@MoAoX I'm from Belgium. When you're 16 you can drive a 50cc bike, when you're 18 you can drive a 125cc bike and when you're 21 you can drive any cc bike.

@Martin9949 In England 50cc when 16, 17 any bike with 35 bhp or less and have to ride that bike for 2 years when your 19 then any cc. But if your 21 or over you can do a test on a 400cc so you can ride any bike.

@1775edde I never had a dirt bike as a kid. I got my first bike when I was 19 and it was a 01 R6. Had to wait till I moved out because my mom would have killed me! She wants to kill me but I'm a big kid so to bad.
